I know they're just running out the clock, but kinda shocked no DPI on the play where Polk got caved in before the ball got there

People killing Maye for throwing a pick in a late game situation with an untouched CB blitzing in his face and no outlet option aren’t being realistic. Most QBs do something bad there.

I think most experienced QB tuck and take the sack tbh.

It's still a big problem to let so much pressure in, the pass blocking and WR releases are garbage.

Many QBs do... the good ones who last just dump it, it's one of the things that separates good QBs from everyone else. He's a rookie, hopefully he'll learn, but not making mistakes in the face of pressure is THE most important step to becoming a top QB.

Sometimes our team really does look like a D2 collegiate team vs an NFL team. They just look like bumbling kids playing against adults. This isn’t a serious professional football team.

I always laugh at how they update the team records in the box score at the bottom of the screen as soon as the clock hits :00. Like no time to mourn your team sucking just immediate twisting of the knife seeing 3-8 turn into 3-9.

I agree to a point. But untouched CB blitzes are a different story. Add in the game situation and I’m not sure even Brady just turtles even 50% of the time.

Maye has got to stop the turnovers, the " He's just a rookie" is a lame excuse
It’s really not. You don’t walk in season 1 with the game slowed down for you and you’re processing already fully up to speed.

Rookies make mistakes, even the greatest ones make a ton. It’s not even really an excuse so much as a fact of life.

Yes it is just an excuse, these rookies know what to do and what not to do before they get to the NFL
I'm not saying he's a bust but the turnovers need to stop

They haven’t won a playoff game since 2000. Wow.
Haven't won a Super Bowl in 50 years.

The Patriots have more Super Bowl wins (six) than Miami has Super Bowl appearances (five).

Haven't been to a Super Bowl in 40 years.

Haven't been to the AFCCG in 31 years.

Yet their bozo fan base yammers on and on about how great they are.

They are posers and wannabes.

Ok so they don't know they shouldn't giftwrap the ball and hand it to the other team ? Really ? Smh
One of the all-time greatest to play the position, a unanimous #1 pick and one of the best college QB prospects in history, came out and threw 28 interceptions as a rookie.

That’s not to say the turnovers are meaningless or not to worry about them, but it’s flat out ludicrous to expect them to simply not happen after a handful of starts in front of a disastrous OL and array of offensive “talent.”

I was coming to post something similar, so I'll just throw in, "and that guy played four years in college, threw 20+ (23) interceptions in his fourth year, and never threw 20 or more interceptions in the other fifteen of his seventeen years in the NFL."

Maye may be incurably sloppy with ball security, but it's way too soon to know that. John Elway, a guy he's been compared to, threw twice as many interceptions as TDs in his first season in the league. He turned out okay, as did Peyton Manning.

We do? Really? I’m not sure about that — don't most NFL fanbases cheer for their team and get excited when they’re in the mix? Trust me, no Dolphins fan has forgotten the playoff win drought.

I was born in '81, and during my childhood, Miami was arguably a Top 5 all-time franchise. Back then, the Patriots, Packers, and Seahawks were, frankly, not much more than punchlines. A lot has changed since then. And honestly, it feels fitting that Dan Marino retired the same year my childhood officially ended — because, as you mentioned, rooting for the Dolphins has had its challenges ever since.

But the NFL is cyclical, and things can change back quickly. Brady's retired, the Patriots haven’t won a playoff game since the '18 season, and based on today’s performance, it might take a while longer. Who knows — maybe in another decade or so, you’ll have a little more empathy for the challenges we’ve faced as Dolphins fans. (I think you foresee the possibility, too; hence, the anger.)

I don’t expect McDaniel and Tua to become Belichick and Brady or Reid and Mahomes, but, hey, with a little bit of luck, maybe they’ll manage one Super Bowl trophy before it's said and done. I'll try to minimize my overt enthusiasm to myself in the meantime.

You can make the case the Dolphins haven't been the same since being punched in the mouth by the Patriots on January 12, 1986 at the Orange Bowl.

Ah memories. I was in boot camp at the time and they actually let us watch it in the "smoking room". I was crowing about being a Patriots fan to all the others from around the country.

Wasn't so glorious when I arrived at my first duty station on Super Bowl Sunday. Hadn't had a beer in over 2 months. I more than made up for it during the first half of that game.

I've been a Patriots fan since 1968, my Dad took me to see them play the Houston Oilers at Fenway park, I'll never forget walking up the ramp to the stadium and seeing the bleachers along the green monster and the goalposts near where home plate was, we were sitting about 5 rows from the dugout, when the Patriots came out of the Red Sox dugout with those red capes draped over their uniforms, those "Pat Patriot" helmets and the red jerseys, I was hooked.

They lost 14-0, but I've been a fan ever since, during the 1970's when your Dolphins used to come here and kick the Patriots asses, during the early 80's when they were a punchline according to you, went to Miami to see the AFCCG at the Orange Bowl, watched them go on a 19 year run.

During that run, it was one accusation after another about cheating, I just kept my head up and watched them win 6 Super Bowls.

Nothing lasts forever, every Patriot fan knew when things ended, they were going to end badly.

And yeah; they may never win another playoff game in my lifetime, or it might take 10 years as you say, no guarantees in sports.

I can sense your glee in calling them a punchline and how it might take 10 years for them to win another playoff game, good for you, small victories and all that.

Best of luck capturing that Super Bowl title you speak of; or at least a playoff win at some point, that would be a good start.

First time in 30 odd years I was out at halftime, kinda sad :(
You made it further against Dallas and New Orleans last year? I sure didn't.

Regardless, this team sucks, last year's team sucked, the 2022 team wasn't very good, the 2021 team was ok for a while, and the 2020 team wasn't very good either. It's been a while since we've seen good football.
