Daylight savings will disappear before the Thanksgiving Lions game. It's a guaranteed diaper fire of a game, enjoyed only by out of market Lions fans (of which I'm sure there are few) who would never see their team on national television otherwise.

It's a football game. It happens during a time when we're on family-overload, so we can escape for a couple of hours. We usually don't have to care who wins.

Win, win, win.

And "diaper fire" games can be hugely entertaining.

Lions running backs get injured more than Byron Buxton

Lions might wind up with more false starts than points

What do we have to do to get the Lions removed from the annual Thanksgivings Day lineup?
Corollary:
Why isn't the Egg Bowl now so we can watch that instead? But noooooo, that has to be paired up opposite a much more entertaining game.

Oh yes, there's a dog show on!!!!! (NBC)

It's truly a Lions, Dogs, and Bears afternoon.

Rooting for the Lions to win their first game of the season actually makes this game much more fun than if they were 3-6 or something like the Bears.
Exactly. Too many whiny people who feeling so entitled that they only want to watch good teams play.

Don't want to watch, don't watch.

Dalton has been in the red zone twice. Both times he's thrown a ball directly to a defender in the end zone. This could easily be 7-3.

I genuinely don't understand schedule complainers. If every game was amazing, no games would be amazing.

Watch, or don't watch. But not every game can be a match up between teams that are 8-2. It's literally impossible.

It’s also kind of hard to predict which teams will be good when picking the national games. Although predicting the Lions will suck is admittedly pretty easy.

Yes, obviously the Lions are a joke and the NFL should consider altering the Thanksgiving schedule. But, in the meantime, this game has been a decent one. I'll say this, it's better than nothing.

And that was excellent kick coverage by the Lions.

How the fuck did Dan Campbell get a head coaching job? The guy is completely clueless.

I know a lot of media people like Campbell because he has great PCs, but man, he's been brutal in game.
