hunter, looks like you and I are the only SoSHers still watching.  I'm procrastinating from writing a proposal.  Do you have money on the game or something?

I'm am so sick  of seeing this shit when the Ravens play. Just chuck the ball deep like an idiot and get bailed out by the flag.

Smith grabbed the corner's arm and dragged him down to the ground!

The Ravens face the iron of the league from here on out; Chargers, Browns, Dolphins at home, Jags and Texans on the road.

Splain to me how they don't finish  12-4, 11-5 at worst.

I would totally support a rule change that says division winners with sub-500 records don't get a home playoff game.

Or, even more drastic, sub-500 division winners aren't guaranteed a playoff spot at all. If there is a double-digit wins team that hasn't already qualified, they get the spot instead.

And with this the AFC North makes NFL history. 11 games in, every team in the division is 3 > .500 or better.

The AFC North is playing the AFC and NFC South. Of the 8 teams in those two divisions, one has a winning record, Indy at 7-4. I am not so sure Baltimore, Pittsburgh or Cincinnati would be favored over Miami. These teams are mediocre.

When is Rob Ryan going to be put out of his misery and never given a defensive coordinator job again?

And according to this article, a NFC South team could win the division with as few as five games: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/path-to-chaos-how-five-wins-could-take-the-nfc-south-112414.

Fun facts. The NFC South as a division has won 13 victories, of which 7 have come within their division, and four have come against the NFC North. Point differential is -195. Wow they suck.

Other than division games, the only game where a NFC South is currently favored is ATL hosting PIT in week 15 (according to survivor grid). Here are the schedules and the current point spread (also survivorgrid):

NO: @PIT (+2.5); vs. CAR (-6.5); @CHI (+0.5); vs ATL (-4.5); @TB (-4)
ATL: vs. ARI (+2.5); @GB (+10.5): vs. PIT (-0.5); @NO (+4.5); vs. CAR (-4)
TB: vs. CIN (+3.5); @DET (+11.5); @CAR (+5.5); vs. GB (+9.5); vs. NO (+4)
CAR: @MIN (+3); @NO (+6.5); vs. TB (-5.5); vs. CLE (+0.5); @ATL (+4)

Last week of the season should be pivotal for this division.

In the NFC I might want to be the 5 seed and go play on the road against NFC South as opposed to being the 3 seed and possibly playing someone like Seattle or San Fran.

I'm not sure I'd be thrilled about having to go on the road to the Super Dome for a wild card game. I know the Saints aren't the home juggernauts they have been in previous years, but i'd just assume stay away from the dome. If they put it together, it'd be there.

Flacco destroyed Ryan's blitzes.

Flacco actually looked pretty good last night. I haven't watched other Baltimore games but if he plays like that consistently his deal starts looking OK.

When your running game averages 6.7 yards a carry, it is hard not to look good as a QB. For his contract his numbers should be much better than what they are.

AFC North is going to be interesting.  Steelers and Bengals have 2 games left with each other.  Ravens appear to have the easiest schedule, but that often does not go according to form.  I do expect 4 and 1 from them, though, to bring their record to 11 and 5.

Definitely looks at this point that some 10-6 teams will be left out in AFC.  Could even have a repeat of the Pats' 11 and 5 early vacation.
