For one thing, firing a coach in-season is like declaring your franchise to be a tire fire. Also, if the interim guy somehow coaxes a 4-2 record out of this band of stiffs down the stretch, the pressure to give him the permanent job will be irresistible. Let Rexy play out the string, then sack him on Black Monday.

They are the only team that would march into Foxborough for a playoff game without a shred of fear, and justifiably so.

Unless they win the AFC North, finish with the #4 seed, the Patriots finish with the #1 seed, they win their first playoff game and then come here in the divisional round.

They are well coached and Ozzie is willing to mix it up so it's not shocking if they've gotten better.
