Bizzare, WTF play in the BC Louisville game.

Louisville QB rolls left, and as he is diving towards the end zone from around the 2 yard line, he decides to throw the ball forward off the pylon?? Officials ruled it an illegal forward pass.

Louisville has now been to the BC 1 yard line 3 times and has 3 points

Could Auburn screw this up any worse?

Yup.

Yes, yes they could.

No kidding. Incredibly stupid play.

I'm afraid you're going to have to specify on this one, because I have no idea which one of the 20 Auburn fuckups you are referring to.

But seriously, an Indian Giver fumble and the center snapping the ball into his upper thigh, is what killed it for Auburn, is mind-boggling.

Thanks.  I just got to the final nut-punch, due to toddler-enforced DVR procedures for mid-afternoon games.  We get about 2.5 quarters of live action in before the "I am overstimulated!" tantrums start, then we re-start after he goes to bed.

Honestly, I know it's poor form to not give the opposing team more credit for a victory, but nearly every big play in this game was primarily, if not solely the fuckup of at least one Auburn player.  Mississippi State just flat out beat Auburn, I can live with that.  Auburn self-immolated, at home, against a mediocre Texas A&M team.  They didn't just dig themselves a huge hole with safeties falling down and a complete lack of communication in coverage in the 1st half, or choke the game away in a tight situation late, or blow the game with a huge special teams miscue, they did ALL OF THOSE THINGS.

Auburn completely shit themselves on the field tonight, in every phase of the game.  The offense had some reason to feel good about itself until the 4th quarter, but those were inexcusably horrible mistakes for a team playing at home that really has been in similar situations before.  Getting beat is fine, but that?  Ugh.

It's a good thing that 2010 and last year happened, because there is an element of not being such an ingrate about the stupendous comebacks that have come before (and even more recently) that keeps me from being too deeply disturbed by the result.  I'm intellectually offended and disgusted, but not emotionally shaken like I would have been if this had happened, say, in the 2010 season.

Ohio State forces a fumble on 3rd and long for Mich St and two guys are on top of the ball and they somehow don't recover. Not great, but it's 4th down, so they forced a pount. Mich St punts and Ohio State shits all over themselves and lets the ball bounce off a blocker, who was totally lost on the play. Mich St recovers that and scores on the next play. Just a terrible sequence of events for the team.

New Mexico leads Boise State 42-35 at HALFTIME.  Boise QB, Grant Hedrick has 223 and 2td's passing, and 117 and 2td's rushing.

He's divisive. I love it, but I understand how others don't like it.
Compare him to Kirk Herbstreit, who I normally don't mind, but just said that the QB is literally leaving his heart on the field.

Uh, yeah, he's not doing that.

Dr. James Andrews would still clear that QB to return to the game...

You are operating under the premise MSU is good
No, I'm concurring with the opinion that nobody in the b1g is good. If a mediocre team having a clownshoes performance is beating you at halftime, you're not good.

HOLY SHIT.  Utah WR drops the ball at the 1 on an easy TD.  Oregon picks it up and runs in 99 yards the other way while Utah offense is celebrating.

That is straight up the most idiotic thing I have ever seen a player do in any sporting event. What a dumb fuck.

I'm not sure if the first Oregon guy who picked it up wasn't down at the 1, though, before he fumbled.

And replay confirms the Oregon TD.  HOLY SHIT.  Easily one the top five most unbelievable plays I've ever seen, all things considered.

78 yard Utah TD turns into a 77 yard pass, fumble, 99 yard return for Oregon.

Clay will be the laughing stock of the sports world if they lose this game, even if they win, and quite deservedly so.

Speaking of Heisman performances, I talk about this guy every week, but holy shit.  Louisville defensive back, Gerod Holliman came into today with 10 interceptions through 9 games.  He had 3 more today against BC, to give him 13 on the season through 10 games.  Only one other guy in the FBS has more than 6, and that's Senquez Golson of Ole Miss, who has 9.  13 is an outrageous number because you'd think at some point, opposing QB's would avoid him like the plague.  He's only a sophomore.

Fumble in Baton Rouge. LSU's ball inside the 10 with just over a minute to go.

Seemed like pretty much the only chance either team was going to be able to score again tonight
