Atlanta might regress to the mean this year, which should be good for them.
Falcons finished third lowest wins behind expected pythag last year but even accounting for that they are most likely going to be around .500 - but that is certainly an improvement. If they get better injury luck might even be competitive for a WC!

Already getting the ‘XYZ in the best shape of his life’ and ‘they are confident they’ll be EVEN BETTER than the team that blew out the Chiefs in the Super Bowl’ funfetti.

Given how terribly the team, specifically the offense, was coached for the lion's share of last season, that's not a particularly unreasonable thought.

On the flip side, they were pretty healthy last year, albeit with a few major players getting hurt and missing time.

I love that the NFL got rid of two Monday Night Football games on the first week. That is a very good change.

I like the late game, remember the year they started an 11pm east coast game. Best day of my life. Might have been 10pm

What game was that they played late on a Sunday? Was it Raiders? It was rescheduled for some reason

The media obsession with the Cowboys has been particularly annoying this off-season because of their appearance on Hard Knocks and Dak coming back. Can’t wait for the season to start so they can go 9-8 and we can go back to ignoring them.

They won't be ignored, regardless of how they finish.

NBC starts showing an Ed Sheeran concert. Okay, fine. I move over to NFL Network for some actual pre-game analysis of the game tonight, and they're showing Ed Sheeran too. WTF

When do the pre-game festivities begin? Or did they do them in preseason or something?

I have teenage daughters so I actually like a lot of teen pop stuff (Tay Tay, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa and a few others) and I cannot for the life of me explain Ed Sheeran’s popularity. I guess it’s all basically the same but he just sucks IMO.

Not a fan of any of the above (other than having an affection for Katy perry because teenage dream and firework were massive bar/bat mitzvah party songs and bring back funny memories), but I think Ed Sheehan is literally almost exactly the male Taylor swift

Because he is a songwriter as well as a singer and has red hair. And he actually writes catchy songs.

and his audience isn’t 40 yo male sports fans

I think the better analogy is the modern day James Taylor

I have family in Stratford (Fairfield County) and they don't get the Hartford CBS affiliate on their cable system, instead the CBS affiliate out of New York. The next town further north, Milford (New Haven County), gets CBS-Hartford.
Maybe they use Frontier, because I live in Stratford and we get WFBS out of Hartford as channel 3 on Optimum. I just double-checked using the app and the Pats game is listed.

Can’t believe I’m commenting on a punt, but I’m not sure it’s possible to have a better one…probably only something similar with higher stakes…
