Besides being a murderer, I hold Ray Lewis partially responsible for me having to listen to Trent Dilfer yell at me.

Hyperbole! Scream! Ridiculous statement! Hyperbole! Commercial ... rinse, wash, repeat

@DougKyed
You're not in Gillette, Trent. The broadcast isn't in the headsets.

and of course, there's SMY not knowing who's broadcasting MNF. Thank god she's out of the Boston market.

@shalisemyoung
is that who it is - Dilfer? why is he screaming at us?

The dl coach is in charge of the front 7? How's that work with the lb coach? And he masterminds the defensive scheme?

I can't wait until a meaningful game is botched on a missed extra point because of this stupid new spotting of the ball

Wasn't that a horse collar

It definitely was.

I know it's just one game, but I kind of suspected that the demise of the 9ers was premature.

Who else but King Carlos Hyde he takes a short ball from his Quarterback Kaepernick and the seas of Babylon opened up because all the blocking men did their job and a top runner like Carlos was always going to run through that sort of hole. Touchdown, 49ers.

true but he single handedly dominated this game on the offense. Maybe not that play but he's carrying the team

It's amazing how quickly a somewhat cool term like bell cow can be worn out by being repeated 1000 times.

I'd say Hyde having his coming out party won't be begrudged a hug. That said, the OL has been surprisingly strong, though the DL is not a Vikings strength. The 9er defense being as good as it is isn't a surprise to me -- lots of retirements/cuts etc, but a ton of guys back from injury, too.  But, again, on the flip the Vikings O-line is another weakness....will see how they fare against a tougher team.

Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy could have done a better job with play by play tonight than Berman and ANYONE in broadcasting history.

vikings were so adament they weren't going to trade AP so they could have him stand on the sideline half the offensive possessions

I think Chris Berman just said, "... from the Big Bell-Bottom, where the Vikings bell has been rung by the 49ers of your grandchildren."

Bridgewater starting to throw the hamburger, now. He gains several yards for his squadron with a pass to No.44, Asiata. Then he’s sacked. And now it’s 2nd and 16. Darryl Patterson takes a catch and is jumped upon by a huge man. There’s flags. It’s an illegal substitution. There’s no illegal substituting in this referee’s National Football league, no sirree Bob Hoskins. Third down. The Vikings have 12 yards to go in a Down. Something. It’s 4th and 8. What do they do? They run... and get sacked. Teddy’s collared. It’s all 49ers as Aaron Lynch gives poor Teddy nightmares. Sacked. Couldn’t tell you why it’s called that. But sacked he was, Teddy, sacked like a poor employee.
