Well that was quick. Almost completely untouched... but it looked like there could have been a hold on the near sideline.

When I saw that line today I thought it was way too high as well... even if Stanford's actually good enough to do that (hopefully, but we'll see), they've only won 1 game each of the past two years by margins like that, and particularly early in the season the offense has seemed to start too slowly to hit a 42 point difference.

Hasn't Lane Kiffin been a flaming car crash every where he has been? It impresses me that he keeps managing to get work.

I just assumed they were keeping if off all local/regional TV in a desperate hope sell tickets.
Yea, it is tough to really estimate the crowd as Gillette looks and feels empty, but should be in the 25k range.  BC had two FG's, UMass made a nice INT in the BC territory (but settled for a long FG attempt and missed).  So it is 6-0 BC at the half.

PS: I'm in NJ, so I don't know if ESPN3 blacks it out up there...hopefully not.  I'm very curious as to the atmosphere UMass can create when finally getting games back on campus later this year.

Cal is absolutely putting it to Northwestern. I'm torn, but being an NU alum outweighs my desire to root for the Pac-12.

Not sure if whose home game it is, but the MAC and ACC have crappy television deals. ESPN controls almost everything and if they is no room on the schedule, they make it online only. I don't think they syndicate anything anymore.

There is a wide receiver for Marshall with the exact same last name, Frohnapfel, as Blake Frohnapfel, who is the QB from UMASS.  Both are seniors, and both are from Stafford, VA.  I assume they are brothers?  Both over 6'6' tall.

The University of Alabama just called itself the "capstone of higher education." I assume ironically.

Passing TD for the Hogs to bring it to 14-21 in the second quarter. They really need to stop Auburn here. The offense is much, much better than they were last year. The defense, not so much.

Random thought: Gus Malzahn may be the only SEC coach with a crazier wife than Jen Bret Bielema. #karma

I don't believe I've ever seen a Kabuki dance between Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator on the sidelines quite like what I'm seeing with Kiffin and Saban.

Maybe it's the love affair ESPN apparently is enjoying with LK, as soxhop411 alluded to.

I don't think this is a relationship that is going to last beyond this season.  Lane Kiffin, Pas Cinq.

UVA won two games last year. All I'm saying is, if the Pac-12 wants to be this monster conference, you have to wax the cupcakes from other conferences.
Wow,  just got back. I stand corrected! 28-20 isn't getting the job done, furshur.

FCS and other small schools playing huge today:

Virginia down 21-17 to UCLA
Northern Iowa just made it 24-20 against Iowa.
Navy up 14-13 against TOSU.
Georgia Southern leads NC State 17-3
Wofford keeping it close against Georgia Tech.  Tech just scored a td to make it 17-9
North Dakota St leading Iowa St. 17-14 and going in for another score.
You made Thomas Jefferson roll over.

Especially after the losses by Colorado (to CSU last night) and WASU (to Rutgers on Thursday).

And now Oregon State is struggling against FCS Portland State, leading just 16-14 midway through the 3rd.

Seeing the Tide screw up, but noticing that Lane Kiffin is butthurt about it = ambivalence at its finest.

Godammit Saban.  Of all the offensive co-ordinators in all the world.

Weather delay for ARK-AUB with storms in the area. They're saying a half-hour at least.

Tigers up 38-21 with 9 & change left in the 4th.

Yeah, you're right.  I was going to write underdogs instead of small schools.  Not sure why I didn't.
Because uva sucks. We've been through this. :)

Saban postgame: "It is what it is.  We are where we are.  We've got some things we did well, and other things we need to improve on."

No running back were taken in the first round of last year's draft (not until pick 54) so I wouldn't rule it out

Good point. And RB value seems to be dropping, but most super early mocks have Gurley has the #1 back with Gordon (wisc) and Davis (scar) trailing him. Thoughts from what I have skimmed are Gurley is first round value, esp with the KR stuff in there.

Did Clemson make a change at QB, or did the starter get hurt?  I thought he was playing well, but I turned the game off for a bit.

Found an audio stream of the LHN broadcast.

Texas D completely shutting down NTSU - zero yards given up on three drives so far.

Texas offense not generating much heat either, so a pretty listless matchup so far.

Georgia gave Gurley the ball 4 times in the first half. Announcers wondered why. Richt understands heat index...Gurley is killing a tired Clemson D

Correction - Georgia, which looks fantastic right now, is destroying Clemson as a team. Dabo is going to have some serious thinking to do this week.
