OMF have been great on the Mookie trade. Actual baseball talk as opposed to just telling people to be angry on the other station. Putting them head to head with F&M might prove to be smart.

I haven't listened to them at all, but I'm relieved that someone has this take. Any time I've turned sports radio on in the last couple weeks I've immediately been yelled at and told how angry I'm supposed to be.

Yeah, Ordway, I dunno if he's doing a bit or is just a complete piece of garbage, but spending an hour in the car listening to him argue with Merloni and Fauria about the fact that a noose is just a kind of knot, it can be used in boating, it can be used for a lot of things...but he doesn't know the intent* of the Bubba Wallace situation...yeah I might be done with sports radio all together. Dale and Keefe is about all I can handle anymore.

Wow. I did not hear that. I haven't tuned into the show in a while because I'm in the car significantly less these days. That is a take I can't handle. 1000 garages, 11 with ropes on the door, 1 tied into the fashion of a noose and it happens to be in Bubba's garage? I wish he would not represent our city so poorly as to bring that garbage to the air. Woof.

Even if we take the evidence at face value, that the noose had been there for months and may not have been specifically targeted at Wallace, the argument that a noose is a common knot and therefore should be waved off is still ridiculous. I'm not an expert knot tier, but a noose seems like an overly complicated knot to tie for the purpose the loop serves as a pull on a garage door. It was put there to draw attention, whether aimed at Wallace or not. The reaction it garnered was entirely justified. Thankfully it may just have been a weird and unfortunate coincidence.

Exactly and as amRadio alluded to, they checked over 1200 garages in NASCAR, found 11 ropes and ONE was a noose. My question to Phelps would be "if the excuse is it's been there since last October, why the hell did NO ONE take it down?" Merloni and Fauria made the exact point you just did, a noose means a particular thing in this country, just as a swastika does, whether it was aimed at Wallace intentionally or not, it's there for a reason.

Exactly this. Why was this allowed to remain in place for many months? (Yes, that's a rhetorical question.)

#CancelWEEI is trending on Twitter, but it seems to be all Kirk and Callahan fans still pissed that their favorite knuckle-draggers got ousted and are pointing to the station's worst daily ratings in years as proof that the station chose the wrong side.

craig carton got into it w/ omf yesterday
roasted them on twitter as well as during his show, not sure if fake drama but carton tweeting about how 98.5 crushes weei (sister company) was curious

started when fauria asked carton if he was allowed conjugal visits in prison, carton did not like the question. dude comes across as completely thin skinned to go off like he did.

I listened to the interview. I thought it was fine and Carton was forthright and did a good job. Then Fauria asked him that insanely awful question and Carton thought he was mocking him and he got upset. I don’t blame him for that. I haven’t followed what took place afterward so it seems like it’s been quite the blowup. But the interview was going just fine until Fauria went with the “conjugal visit” question.

It was an awful question, moronic really.

And him playing Mickey the dunce and not seeing what the problem was with the question makes it even worse.

Just beyond stupid.
