Poitras is being punished for his line mates. He had one or two bad moments, but Tufte was pretty abysmal out there all night. Took two offensive zone penalties. I can't even think of anything Jones did.

Jones looks like cheaper Nick Ritchie. At least he didn't have a repeat performance of bad penalties like opening night.

Tufte is useless.

Not sure they had a ton of great options w/r/t Poitras. They could’ve moved him to RW and played him with 63 & 13 but I kinda like leaving him at C. Leaving him at C meant either playing Jones or Tufte with 63 & 13 which isn’t ideal either.

I think next game put Geekie back in for Tufte and go 49-51-38. Eventually I’d like to see Lysell there.

I really don’t see the need to have Tufte and Jones occupying roster spots over Lysell and Merkulov. They do nothing but take penalties.

They gave Jones 2 years, $1 million per so they have something invested in him. He missed most of camp with an injury. He’ll get some rope.

Tufte will be waived at some point.
