It's EdRod, not ERod

It's neither.

Can we PLEASE stop with these X-Rod nicknames?  They're horrible.  All of them.

Absolutely. Mashing together first and last names is so last decade. Eddie is a classic.

I come home and find out he had the audacity to give up a run. And not just any run, a HOME RUN.

Let's go with Gas Can.

EdRo

It's Pedro without the P

We should just call him  "bsurdly High Expectations."

That's Absurdly High Expectations without the "A".

But damn, the kid looks legit right now

Because if I start to see people refer to him as "ERod" I'm going to puke.

He just said on the radio that he prefers ERod.  Fucking rookies.

Now we can all go back to liking Farrell, right? Clearly, Edro gives him the best chance to win games now, and he is making that call rather than deferring to Masterson/Kelly, which is great news for us fans who actually have to watch these games.

This seemed to work well. Plausible. Instinctive.

It would be crazy if he made 5-6 more excellent starts and wound up as the lone RS representative at the All-Star game.

The most common nicknames for Eduardo in Spanish are Edu and Lalo. Lalo is the most common.

Ponch as in the Spanish for strikeouts, ponches de beisbol, would be cool too.

Given that EdRo carries undue weight on his shoulders, I suggest Rod-E Rod-E Striker.

I think Farrell used Eddie in the postgame. Some here didn't like Bogey, maybe others don't like Eddie, but what the Sox personnel use will probably win out.

I like that Farrell has come out with a couple of witty lines regarding Eddie: the really, really, really reconsider (was it?) one, and the he's not going to Pawtucket unless he stops there on the way to Baltimore one. Maybe there's hope for old squarejaw.

Just drop the "E" and go with 'Duardo. Or go with "El 'Duardo". And if your super geeked over the guy and ready to anoint him the next big thing, go with "King 'Duardo"
Duarderino if you are into the whole brevity thing
