It has to be really bad if people are afraid to be the first to post it. In a culture where people tweet any rumor they can find and are obsessed with posting FIRST! And this has been building for days is not a good sign.I don't think I've ever seen so many cryptic tweets about a yet to be published story. It's been building since Sunday.
I assume people are just double, triple checking their sources on this. You can't be accusing people of sexual assault, drug abuse, and hiring out cheerleaders without being 100% sure. You'd get sued to high heaven. If this Washington (Name TBD) news is anywhere near true... Shit is gonna be BONKERS
A buddy who is a long time Washington fan, and follows them very closely, all the message boards/blogs, twitter chatter, etc., was telling me the same rumor last night. He despises Snyder, thinks the name change should have happened a decade ago, at least, and hopes this bombshell forces the sale of the team.............. All of which probably means this is much ado about very little*The rumor is Snyder and Gruden has parties with Epstein. And you can imagine what that involved.
Say Snyder is involved in some sort of crazy Epstein-related sex ring, do other fanbases with terrible owners try and make some connections that their guy is involved as well. Imagine if this thing took down Jones, James Dolan, etc.?Washington's independent film production crew doing a documentary called "Sleeping on the Job", caught Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and several staff members on the sideline before the recent game.
I used to drive by Snyder's house in Potomac occasionally on my evening commute (back when I had an evening commute) and remember how on Halloween he would always have some lackey set up at a table right on River Road, outside the gate, for candy distribution. Can't have the kids actually getting onto the property.I was listening to Andrew Brandt on a podcast a few years ago and he told this anecdote about Snyder. Some guy (Brandt did not give his name, I am assuming some random rich guy) went to Snyder's house to pick up his kids after a play date with Snyder's kids, the guy says 'thanks for having the kids over, Dan.' Snyder looks at him and says, 'that's Mr. Snyder.'
Sadly he probably isn't the worst. When the team was involved in human trafficking cheerleaders that should have been it, and it would have been it for any organization run by human beings as opposed to soulless ghouls. But we know who there nfl is. Snyder may be the worst, but he has plenty of company.
Don't be so sure, he tops most of the list of worst NFL owners, and probably thereby worst owners in sports. I'm sure there are worse Russian (etc) Oligarchs owning teams in other countries, but not here, at least not now that Mikhail Prokhorov has divested from the Nyets.Sadly he probably isn't the worst.
If he actually partied with Epstein, everyone in that area should be glad their kids didn't get onto the property.I used to drive by Snyder's house in Potomac occasionally on my evening commute (back when I had an evening commute) and remember how on Halloween he would always have some lackey set up at a table right on River Road, outside the gate, for candy distribution. Can't have the kids actually getting onto the property.
