Very Slow Tablet

I have a Samsung tablet and it has gotten extremely slow lately. Web pages take forever to load, widgets take forever to open, pretty much everything takes forever. I did a soft reset and cleared the cache for the apps with little improvement. What else can I do?

What version of android is it running, and did it update the OS recently?
 
Also, anything of note you have installed recently?
 
My Note 10.1 got updated to KitKat recently and was a little wonky to start but seemed to settle down once some of the apps were updated.  The upgrade also turned back on some features I had turned off, like multi-window, so if there was an upgrade might be worth just looking through your device settings, etc.

I haven't installed anything in a while, but I think it did update the OS lately.  I'll have to look to see what version it's running and post again tomorrow.  Thanks for the help.
