So Rapinoe is on the team to come on, play 27 minutes, turn the ball over a ton because she's rusty, and then require the US to use another sub instead of replacing a starter's tired legs.

Hey, they only scored the goal because she took out a defender to make it 11 v 10

I wonder if some of the press she got recently has altered her approach. She's trying too hard it looks like.
I think she just is who she is, fancy dribbling is by far her best skill, which is fine for a wing, and death for a FB. It's just a poor decision by Ellis to put her in the back.

I think she is out of position on the back line. She has looked fine in her regular position, but when they pulled Long for Rapinoe and went to 3 in the back, and then they scored, they dropped Heath back thereto "shore up" the line. It is so not her nature to be more tentative on the ball.

There is actually nothing I love more than watching Heath fool with defenders when she's on the wing. She must not do that from the back. Must not.

Dunn actually looks more tired to me than most others right now. She's usually a step or two ahead of her defender, and she seems just a touch off today.

Yeah it was the part where she grabs a whole big handful of jersey to pull down the defender.

Wow, you could debate whether Lloyd fouled (though I think she did), but that was CLEARLY a goal for Sweden. Not even close.

California. Duh.
So...who takes penalties?

Lloyd obviously. Heath missed in the 2011 final, Morgan doesn't seem to fancy them. I'd guess Horan, Brian, Press, and Dunn.

I don't have a great feeling here.

Then again, I didn't thik there was a chance that Japan would beat them in 2011, so I've been wrong before.
