Just hoping to see some sort of cohesive plan for linking our midfielders and forwards tonight. Obviously want a win too. Better performances will lead to better results. The US has 3 wins and 2 draws in six WCQ matches in Honduras, so despite it’s reputation we have done reasonably well there. Honduras will be out two of their top players including Elis.

This is kicking at 1030 et?? Goddam.

Anyone know if you can just rewatch on paramount or you have to ‘record’ it?
Should be able to watch them on demand. I watched quite a bit of Serie A replays on Paramount + this season. The trick for me is finding the right show from the main menu, in my case “Serie A” and I would guess for you “World Cup Qualifying”, then selecting “Match Replays”. It just takes time to find the right show at first, but once you do finding the replays on demand it is pretty easy. I find them loaded pretty quickly after a match is done too, but I’m guessing that isn’t an issue for you anyways.

edit - formation speculation stolen from BigSoccer.

------------------Pepi----Sargent-------
------------------------Pulisic-------------------
---Bello-------Sands-------Acosta--------Adams
-------McKenzie---Brooks----Robinson---
------------------------Turner-------------------
The hour where everyone tries to plug Gregg’s non-ordered starting lineup into a formation has (sadly) been my favorite part of qualifying so far.

I know, RIGHT?

It's a 3-4-3. Sands-Acosta in the midfield. Adams at RWB. Sargent at RW.
Only other option is to swap Adams and Acosta, which I doubt. Acosta has played RWB more for the USMNT, Adams more for his club (I think).

High press for sure

Holden reported Adams at RWB.

I thought it would be more like a 3-5-2 with Pulisic having free rein, but apparently it's a 3-4-3 with Pulisic at LW and Sargent at RW according to Holden. I guess we'll see, though.

I guess I called for the 3-4-3 but I never imagined this XI. Worried about Sands & Acosta being able to progress the ball & play through the middle, but it’s gonna be hells bells down the wings.

I just want to say that I feel a lot better about my poor soccer IQ after realizing that no one else could figure out who played where either.

That’s been the problem for a while, and it’s still a concern tonight. Just gotta high press, force turnovers and get a goal like against Canada

Tonee Robinson and Konrad should still have something left in the tank right? Not sure anyone else on the bench is likely to have an impact on this game.

I'm just happy for FC Dallas' social media manager, who has been doing Ricardo Pepi memes for days now.

This looks like a lineup that should be enjoyable. I can see it getting a bit hectic at times, but I just hope it'll be entertaining.

A young US team facing a pressure game could help down the road.

With acosta and sands in the middle?
I assume this just a paper set up and the 2 wingbacks will be pushing up a lot. Or god help us

I think we already have more touches in attacking third than last game.

We've already seen 7 or 8 challenges that would be fouls in England not called, as well as two Honduran players rolling around on the ground. They've only played 4 minutes.. Long live CONCACAF.

Different approach, but so far similar lack of open play shots and threat
Sunday they recycled the ball to the defense 85% of the time and 90% of our possession led to east/west passes. Tonight they're trying long balls and have at least had touches around the box.

But seriously, we need a wide angle, how did no one pick up that runner?

But props to Honduras for an excellent thru ball to the wing and then a great cross.
