For all the doppler technology, they use the "count to 30 Mississippi" after a thunder sound to determine if it is say to play? Really Joe?

28-year-old referee who looks 12 gets to do whatever he wants, guys. that's the rule. it's only a Gold Cup semifinal, why so serious?

uhhh, great flick on by Bradley to Jam??

Did Jamaica simply switching Bailey (which Edu, Coby, Landy called for) completely change this game?

Ya the delay, but Jam looks like 2 different teams.

Did they get high during the delay or something? Some really dumb soccer since they came back out.

Edit - not there!

I kinda like this ref. No nonsense, direct, has been addressing players after borderline non fouls. Seems composed for a relatively young ref.

Nice to see a MLS Superdraft product get this type of exposure on this stage.
Fun fact, both teams have the same number of players in this game who went through the MLS draft: four each. (Blake/Mattocks/Vassell/Francis vs. Altidore/Bradley/Ream/Long)

11 pm local.
I assumed it was Cali then she said Nashville and I assumed it was recorded so I checked Yahoo and it said halftime so I’m just confused. Don’t they play soccer in the rain was this scheduled for 9pm flyover time

Edit: lightning, ok thanks. Lucky for me

Jordan Morris scored a couple big goals in his first couple caps IIRC and I don't remember anything he has done since.

edit: LOL

WOOOOO

Mckennie to Morris to CP

Lovely play.

I remain a Morris fan. He is effective. He isn't the speediest, but he seems to have a very good eye for the game and puts himself in good position to make things happen.
Great on CP to crash the net

Can't tell if Long really got whacked or if he's just making a meal of what was probably a foul but not a serious hit.

I feel as we move into the next generation with more midfield/offensive talent we're going to wish we had a hold-up beast to support our skilled little guys and regret that we don't have prime Jozy anymore. Looked like he relished his role as enforcer tonight.

McKennie's form has upside, too. Schalke yanked him around so much last season; he played almost every position on the field. That combined with the fact that Schalke were awful and never saw much of the ball means that McKennie didn't have a lot of stability.

He will hopefully have more of an opportunity to stay at CM and get in a groove next year. As it stands, he's already good.

a rare misplay by Pulisic, though of course started off by a bad first touch by Zardes (he could have gone forward and beaten them for speed before a layoff)
