This 2-0 scoreline has been coming all game. So great to see this team put in a performance like this.

Ferreira has been fucking slick since he came on too. Doesn’t have the gravity Pepi does, but loves to combine.

Pepi's drift backwards toward the penalty spot opened up Pulisic's run. In addition to his own man, Pulisic's man took half a step toward Pepi too.
WM was right to hold the 18. Pepi needed to make a far post run.
Great tactics discussion.

Pepi didn't seem to be drifting too much, but could have missed. Agree overall that he had gravity on the defender.
I would argue that Pepi should have made more effort back to the 18 and then Mckennie looping back into the space CP left often making the near post run.

If it clears CP I didn't see a back post run,

Weah has been so good. He was kind of the forgotten man. The quality up and down the roster is stunning compared to last cycle and we haven’t come close to seeing everyone healthy yet.

I trust everyone mad at Robinson knows more than I do. Is it simply pressing too closely? The Mexican player clearly threw his leg out.

Very silly by Robinson given the situation, but that exact play (super light contact but a hand on the shoulder) was not whistled in front of Mexico's box in the first half.

I said it earlier in the night, but Weah gives this team a presence they have never had before if he shows up like this on a regular basis. Fantastic game from him all night. Zimmerman has been great as well, and Musah is on the verge of breaking out. And Antonee Robinson is still my boy. Rough first 20-25 mins overall, but they have dominated the last 70 mins.

Just an unnecessary foul. You're up two nothing and you're on a yellow. Just have to play the game situation better when you're a starting CB and away game at Jamaica on deck without McKennie.

Tough call, but know the game situation.
As a defender I will disagree. He was wide of the player, usual fighting, he didn't make an active move for the legs. Guy tripped himself. It was a cynical yellow. Legs get tangled should be a foul but not a yellow.

Overall, these kids continue to gel and it is great. STarted slow but, what like the last 65 -70 min it was all US. Great control of Mexico, this isn;t playing T&T where that should be expected
