I'd like to see him too, but as his first cap, I mean, it could be a lot.

Yeah, I get it. And I agree, I'm just happy to see Arriola on the bench. Have to consider the lineup a win.

No Lletget and Arriola are definitely two big wins. Aaronson becoming a key player was not expected, but I'm kind of counting on him to be a key player tonight.

Just happy we avoided the biggest banana peel of Arriola over Weah. I can deal with the rest of it overall.
I think we would have been fine (maybe even better than fine) with Arriola pressing for 60 minutes and then bringing on Weah to hopefully terrorize a tired Mexican defense.

On the plus side, no one can say the US has come out passive and is just watching the action today. On the downside, I’m not sure they have any idea what they’re doing offensively and their touches have been generally awful.

Yeah it's kind of starting to feel like that's just who they are. Have to hope that health, maturation, and the combination of Pulisic and Reyna are enough to change that down the road.

It’s a combination of not sensing where their pressure is on their backs and trying to make passes to feet through two levels of defenders instead of just taking what’s there that is getting them into trouble. They miss the easy first touch to open things up and then try to go for the magic bullet ball when they have any semblance of space.

I mean is this where, at this stage an Ariiola or Lletget, can help a little? They seem to slow stuff and coordinate. Lot of young kids hyped up out there. I mean what is the avg age of the starters, 22?

Overall, I love their aggressiveness. Midfield has turned the wrong way on the field a few times. They are going to score a goal or two but may give up a couple.

OK, I’m a big Turner fan, and would have started him, but we look so solid and composed with Steffen as essentially another field player. I’m swaying.
