I'll be upgrading at some point today. The site will be theoretically down for about 30 minutes. "Nip Screw Up" reality time will probably be closer to a few hours.

Obviously there were some theme changes. Report issues here... there will be a few

(please try to stick to just stuff that may have broken, not new features... thanks!)

I didn't realize it would update everywhere... little did I know my gravatar was connected to a throwaway email

I think what happened was that I got bored during the upgrade and killed a process that normally is useless.... but I guess this time it was. It's running in the background now.

On my Moto G phone, when I go into the game threads forum I see the 2016 Red Sox subforum, but every other team one is last season's. Most notably I can't see the 2016 Patriots game threads, just the 2015 one.

Some sort of odd caching going on?

Also, every quoted post has my avatar regardless of who makes the post.

Back out of the app until you see the settings icon in the upper right. Go into setting and the last option will be Reset Cache. After resetting, SoSH will restart and you should see the new subforums. (I had to go through this process to see both the 2016 Sox and Patriots subforums when they got created.)

Thanks for the tip, DrBlinky. I did as you described, but when SoSH tried to restart it just hung up on the initial splash screen. Gave up and uninstalled the app, and then reinstalled it. Same issue, so I'm SOL.

Edit, now the app runs, but I can't log in.

Edit2: Finally succeeded with phone login.

Is anyone else still getting the error where gifs/tweets/videos/etc are only half-showing up, with no option to expand the visible area? Like this below:

I know I've seen it mentioned in this forum in the past but I can't find it now. Any solutions?

I see the same behavior (half-visible tweets, etc.) and I am not using an ad blocker: just vanilla Safari on OS X 10.12. I don't see this behavior when using Firefox.

Well, that seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure which specific extension was causing it, but I disabled and then enabled my extensions and now I can see the entire tweet. Thanks Hriniak!

edit: or maybe just refreshing the page fixes it.

Then My psychic powers suggest that I am misinformed.

What if you disable all extensions and plugins using procedure #3 in http://osxdaily.com/2015/01/18/troubleshoot-safari-freezes-crashes-mac-os-x/? Do you still see this?
It's hard to test well because I just discovered that if I reload the page, then the tweets (etc.) display correctly. (So finding a problem, disabling extensions and plugins, and then seeing if the problem went away is not necessarily meaningful.) Also, the problems only happen sporadically and I don't see the pattern as to which things display correctly vs. not.

The Tapatalk integration seems off by a day or two lately. It will deep link me into threads but to the posts that were made a while back. Not sure what settings the plugin has, but it may be offset.
