Upgrading to Windows 10 killed my two-finger scroll and it sucks

I have an ASUS laptop (model K55A) from 2012 that I'm not ready to replace yet. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 a few months ago. Everything went well, except for my finger pad. My two-finger scroll stopped working.

I went to the ASUS website to download and install the drivers for ASUS Smart Gesture, but they only have drivers for Windows 7 & 8, which obviously hasn't helped. I also tried contacting ASUS tech support, but they just confirmed that they never released Windows 10 drivers for my ASUS model, and can't help me.

So I came here to see if anyone ran into a similar problem, and if so, were you able to find a work-around?

My HP used the Synaptics driver, which also had issues. Specifically it wouldn't remember settings through a reboot. But I found a generic one, set a restore point, and crossed my fingers. It's working ok so far.

Look and see which touchpad your machine has there may be a generic version of the driver out there.

I have tried reinstalling via the troubleshoot process.

I'll try looking for a generic driver for the touchpad, that's probably my best bet at this point, thanks.
