It's time to replace my 2014 Alienware 14, the best laptop I've ever owned. Also the heaviest. I'm intrigued by the new AMD laptop processors, and the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is getting rave reviews like this one:

My question: Best Buy is selling a model with a FHD (1920x1080) screen for $1,400. Theoretically, there's a WQHD (2560x1440) model available "soon" for $2,000.
I game, but I don't, like, pro game, so I'm happy to trade off speed for resolution. But would you pay 45% more for the screen upgrade?
My #1 rule for buying laptops is not to compromise on the keyboard or the display, because nothing will annoy me more during daily use. But is this upgrade with it?
