Any gossip on why Dana hates GSP?
I don't know about gossip, but weren't they were pretty pissed at each other after the Hendricks fight? And maybe more so when GSP sort of ambiguously retired shortly after? Like pretty much every fighter, I don't think GSP was a fan of the Reebok deal either.

I'm guessing it is probably several things, all of which can be easily set aside with enough money for the comeback.

I pray she stays in UFC because I never, ever want to see her in WWE.

Any gossip on why Dana hates GSP?
All of the talk I've read has focused on the money issues. GSP's contract was signed before the Reebok sponsorship deal and sale to William Morris. After that windfall for Zuffa, the current management are in essence expecting him to take a paycut if he wants to fight. They have yet to show an inclination to make up the difference in the sponsorship money that he loses due to not wanting to open that door with other fighters. Like every negotiation, it comes down to what is George's real value. While he isn't a transcendent star like Rhonda and GSP, he significantly moves the needle in Canada. A show with GSP sells out Bell Center almost instantly and you'd have a higher PPV number there. His fight with Nick Diaz did 950K PPV sales. With the right opponent and build up, he could hit that again. The interest in the sport is down there and it coincides with George's retirement, so how much does Canada mean to UFC is the question.

Its always been about money and drug testing between those two. GSP wanted stricter drug testing for his fights. The Reebok deal also hurt his relationship with the UFC because he's the face of MMA for Under Armour and had issues with being forced to wear a Reebok kit without being paid more.

Impressive fight out of Ferguson. 5 rounds of walking through everything RDA threw at him was pretty beast.

Anyone know a good NYC venue to get a room or table? I want to watch at home but more and more friends want to get out to a bar and none of us know what a good one might be.

Couldn't really afford to blow any scheduled vacation days with Xmas coming up, so just tried to play the call in sick card and got a "sorry, 5 other people already beat you to it. We need you".

Most of those fuckers don't even really know anybody on the card other then CM too. I can only imagine how stressed out Dana must be on these fights days wondering if this is the one that puts the first real dagger in his mainstream cash cow.

Don't have a lot of faith in Eddie not throwing the smart gameplan out the window tonight if/when Connor has some early takedown defense success. Predicting Eddie gets round 1, Connor gets 2 and 3 with a finish in the latter.

I'm going with Khabib, Edgar, Tate, Weidman, Joanna, Woodley, Alvarez.

I'd rather wonderboy and Connor win but Woodley is the most explosive fighter I've seen and I think Eddie will fight Connor like he did Pettis...which will make for the most boring main event ever.

I see Alvarez as even money. Anyone get better odds on him? I'm wary of betting against CM given I think the fight will go 5 and the judges will have a huge incentive to award him a decision.

This will be the first PPV that the ladyfriend and I are getting. The card is pretty stacked, so I figure it's as good a place to start as any.

Any advice from you guys as to HOW to watch MMA? I know that I ENJOY watching it - it's just that I'm not sure I know what to look for. I used to watch a lot of boxing, but I know this is a different animal entirely.
