I pre-ordered one. I am a diehard blackberry user but am going to trade my Bold for an iPhone 5s when the typo keyboard arrives.

So it's more or less a case that covers up the most important button on the phone to fix a problem that is fixed by practicing a bit more? Frankly, I'm awful at typing on the iPhone keyboard because I loathe looking at keys when typing (on a phone and computer), and the lack of fixed keys disallows me from setting my thumbs on the "home row". However, I can't imagine using the phone as currently configured without the home phone, particularly on the 5S.

I mean, I can see why some would want something like this, I suppose, but I don't see the point in covering up the home button is all.

No, I completely agree with your first post. This is really stupid. If you can't adjust to the main feature of the phone, don't buy it. No matter how great it looks, it's bound to get in the way of the functionality of the phone.

Isn't the bottom right button on the typo case now the new home button?

Yes, the home button is on the bottom right, all tiny and awkward. This thing just looks all kind of cumbersome to use. The case is basically hollow for the bottom 2 rows making the phone really top heavy when holding it at the bottom.

I'm not trying to be snarky, but why not just buy a Q10? Personal preferences aside, this is a direct rip of the BlackBerry keyboard, and I would imagine that any judge would put an injunction on this product given it's worse than Samsung's TouchWiz/iOS "inspiration" on the original S.

I think this could have been imagined a bit better, with the home button remaining intact, and the Siri button being divorced from the bottom row and placed above, or something akin to that. The other big thing that's not being considered is that this thing presumably is a Bluetooth device that will may be prone to disconnecting, but most importantly will cause you to need Bluetooth turned on all the time, which is going to shave battery life from your phone.

Yeah, you're probably right. I switched to the I-Phone when the company announced they were going to I-Pads, so that I could familiarize myself with the technology. And the Q10 wasn't available at the time. That was a year after I switched from a Blackberry to an I-4 for 2 weeks and then switched back to the Blackberry.

Your comments about the Bluetooth are apt as well. The Typo Case has to be recharged which is another negative. My wife is due for a new phone in June. I think she'll be getting my I-5 and I'll grab the Q10.

You're definitely smarter than Grady. And maybe me.
