Here
I don’t know what he has left, but TT is the guy they lacked for years and years. Inside bruiser who dominates the paint.

Full midlevel, yikes?

I hope that second year is at least a team option

I take back what I said. Full mid level is not a good deal. I really, really hope that the Jays both take considerable leaps because, without that, this offseason has been a fucking shit show

Well, there's your DEB*. Now they need a guard/wing for depth. Shaq Harrison come on down...

*Designated Embiid Beater

Somewhere
Hmm. Wonder what Danny sees in him above the other options. I probably favored Baynes given familiarity, but it’s not a strong preference.

Nice of Klutch Sports to hook the Celtics up once the Lakers’ roster was set.

A lunch pail rebounder who can set picks and play defense should work here.

My initial reaction is "gross".

But I guess I have to take a step back and see if there was anything else out there.

I don't see the appeal of Harrison. Why not get Iwundu, who is better.

I would have preferred Harrell at that money.
It wasn't an option for 2 reasons...
1. he signed before we knew we had the full MLE to use
2. He signed with the defending champions, we were likely never on the list.

This is where I’m at too. Harrison seems like the best possible get at this point. If they can land him that’s a very solid team with the potential to get better. Especially if they can somehow get a TPE for Hayward

Career high in points last season, close to a career high in rebounds, career high in assists. Doesn't looked to have slowed down at least on paper. I thought he was more on the downturn.
12.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists.

Looked like he started to add a 3 too.

Hmm, he wasn’t on my radar but you can do worse for MLE money. A definite bruiser that this team lacked.

Great signing. This and Harrell are the best free agent signings of the season.

I'll never forget the security video of four strippers climbing over him like a jungle gym while he just sort of sat there and chilled.

He also brings a certain attitude and edge onto the court with him that has been missing since mook left. Hopefully, he'll be able to harness that energy for good and build some chemistry with the young guys.

Doesn't improve the team much. People excited about this don't understand how the game is played right now. In the end, its a whatever signing.

Heh...in bubble play his last 9 games he was 6/14 from 3. I dunno if that's a thing, but if that's a thing...

prior to that he was 3-18 in 610 games.

If this team is expecting Tristan Thompson to be a floor spacer, Ainge is even worse than his biggest critics contend. Dude is the hoops equivalent of a hex key.

If the job description is “defend both Embiid and Bam” I guess he’s about the best available for that job.

Otherwise, nice rebounder but seems pricey for what he is. Though, I like that he’s a veteran who has won in the playoffs—-they were missing that guy. I don’t know whether he’s a leader or not, but in theory that could be a benefit

LOL. Ok, please be sure to teach Ainge when you get a free moment.
He is excited about it? Did he share with you? I wasn't talking about Ainge. I am referring to all the folks who keep clamoring for more bigs. You just don't need that many expensive players in those roles. Few are worth what they get paid in a hoops sense.

Its fine. It soaks up minutes and gives Stevens another option for a big.
