Very solid career for a guy who looked like a long shot to make it. Made the most of his opportunities. 114 career homers, made $12.5M, retired at 32.

Remy had some of his best malaprops when Shaw was at the bat. Since he had his best year with the Milwaukee Brewers, I will remember him as Travis Shore of Lake Michigan.

That trade really illustrates how wildly unpredictable baseball can be. And it's why I'm leery of people making definitive arguments using projections. I thought that was an excellent trade when it was made. Turned out so poorly for us.
