I remember the summer before last the collective longing for a PG like White or Brogdon and the consensus that such an acquisition could not be completed without including Marcus. Then Brad Stevens acquired both of them in five months while keeping Smart.

I don't recall much longing to move Smart, since they needed ball handling. But my memory is shite. I do remember liking some Haliburton+ and DeJounte Murray+ fake trades that would have cost us Jaylen Brown

Agree that Brad has done a fabulous job since being named President. He's orchestrated at least a dozen clever moves and the Brogdon/White trades go even beyond that

I didn’t mean to imply a “longing,” only a resignation that we couldn’t acquire players like Brogdon or White without sacrificing Marcus. Until Brad did.
