Yucks Jukebox was a welcome relief. I had never heard that movie bit before, was before I started listening to the show. Funny as hell.

Well Fred's fucking lost it. He shaved his head and just did a 15 min video of impressions. Check his instagram.

I haven't been able to listen over the past month or two, but is Fred ok? He keeps posting some stuff on Instagram saying how hes struggling mentally. Has he talked about it on the show at all?

He's touched (no pun intended) on it. He's clearly having more issues than his normal depression and drinking, which wasn't healthy to begin with. He said last week he got a phone call that was bad (wouldn't say what about) and immediately started convulsing, fell on the floor and threw up. He said he can't sleep, he's riding the Peloton at 2am until he throws up (which I don't believe this story since it involves exercise) and also he's lost 35 lbs (which I also don't believe)

I think he's just mentally losing it in quarantine. He's constantly grasping at straws about this all ending because he "talked to a doctor guy he knows" or found someone on Twitter who's a doctor that meets his views. Now he's talking about moving in June? He's been drunk on IG a few times, don't think he's doing great.

Yeesh. Yea, that definitely doesn't sound good. I hope hes talking (or continuing to talk) to someone about it. He's always been really open about his struggles and it sounds like he's really going through it right now. Best of luck to him.

Thanks for the info.

Today's 8am hour of Bad Band or Race Horse was gold Jerry, Gold!
I missed these normal segments, I loved it.

Yeah, he's been relatively open about it in a few segments that I've caught. IIRC he acknowledged this morning he was pretty down yesterday. It comes through during the show because Rich is so (understandably) rigid on anything involving COVID and Fred is somewhere on the opposite end of that spectrum and looking for any light at the end of the tunnel. Fred seemed pretty pumped about the Rhode Island news, so hopefully that helps cheer him up some.

Fred doesn’t sound great, yet I’ve found the show to be a lot funnier during quarantine. They seem to have gotten into a rhythm between recycling some of the greatest hits and working in some pretty topical interviews. Fred and Rich riffing on dumb crowds not social distancing and the stupid things they are doing to pass the time have been therapeutic to listen to. I thought the show had been stuck in a major rut since the Stanley Cup last June, oddly enough the pandemic has seemed to invigorate them.

But I completely agree Fred has sounded a bit unhinged at times, especially If he’s not being hyperbolic about drinking every day.

So I didn't believe the 35 pounds either, but he looks pretty good in this video. He needs to stop taking close-up pictures of his face with his chin tucked into his neck lol

He just said he lost 30 lbs, he also mentioned he hasn't eaten in awhile. Between him throwing up, his 'rhea, the convulsing etc. sounds like he hasn't eaten in about 10 days. Said he'd add on weight again "now that I'm eating again"

If he had some nasty stomach issue for 7-10 days and didn't eat or drink alcohol I could see him losing that much.

So did I hear correctly that Fred is heading to the backwoods of Tennessee to ride things out? With his family, I assume? Given the way the outbreak has affected him mentally, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing for him to do.

Yep, he mentioned it yesterday. I can't speak for his situation, but I'd love to be able to do that. I really enjoy living close to a city, but it sucks when you’re locked inside indefinitely. Being on a lake in the middle of nowhere with a boat and jetski sounds perfect for a quarantine.

My heart goes out apartment/ condo dwellers in these times. We're fortunate to have a house that has a backyard, couldn't imagine how frustrating it would be to be stuck inside a unit 24/7. Although of course, the weather has mostly sucked complete ass.

Fred’s “the government can’t tell me what to do” rant about opening golf courses was pretty excruciating, coming from a guy who’s so mentally addled by this situation that he’s fleeing to the backwoods of Tennessee.

It's worse, he's not fleeing to Tenn, he's going to Tenn for 3 weeks starting Friday. He's supposed to quarantine (with his wife and kids) at his parents house without seeing them. Then after that's done they're there for like 8 days, then are flying back to quarantine at home again for 14 more days.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Stay at home is lifted, Beasley has told him from the sounds of it that he is to be back in the studio as soon as possible. I have no clue what he's doing.

If he was going to Tenn for the next 2-3 months I could see it, but for 3 weeks?

Is he doing the show from TN? Or is this a 3 week vacation?

I don’t have strong feelings about the golf course thing, was just so weird how passionate he was about opening them up...while he’s fleeing the state anyway.

Fred is a bit of a libertarian I believe. Frankly I'm getting more sick of Rich who rapidly throws cold water on any discussion of any possibility of opening up anything. It's getting much worse than any of Fred's issues.

I mean...if his wife gets it, she probably dies.
This.

He isn't being rational about it because of his wife and obviouly so. He's spraying mail with lysol and letting packages sit in a corner for 2 days before spraying it down and opening it. I dont agree with him but he thinks if there is any movement on the lock down she may die because of it

Apparently Wiggy declared today that he'd come into work even if he tested positive for COVID-19 but was asymptomatic because it's more important to feed his family than worry about possibly infecting others.

I realize that Jermaine Wiggins is never going to be confused with a MENSA member, but... the amount of stupid in that statement almost breaks the mind.

First off, it wouldn't be his choice, it would be the station's.
Second, if he tested positive, he has to quarantine BY LAW and would still get paid
Third, if you tested positive but are asymptomatic, you can still easily spread the virus even by taking every precaution in the book

Apparently the hosts tried several times to give him openings to backpedal but he continued to double down. Obviously it's not a fireable offense to be an idiot but I would have to imagine threatening (or whatever term you want to use) to knowingly risk the spread of disease throughout the station is not something the brass are going to look to kindly upon. Methinks Wiggy might get a little bit of a vacation from the airwaves.
