Bankroll Boys was by a good margin the worst T&R/H segment ever. Good riddance to good garbage
I was amused by Fred's rabid vitriol of Lifshatz and their back forths. It made for great "garbage" radio as you put haha. Kendra, to me, adds absolutely nothing. But I guess I'm just not the right audience.

I really enjoyed the first couple years of the Bankroll Boyz when it was Joe and Lifshatz. Once gambling was legalized it lost a lot of its charm, IMHO. And then Joe leaving really drove a stake through its heart.

I guess unlike a lot of folks here, I really enjoyed Kendra early on as well. But it's gotten pretty stale. I don't know if its her as much as it is Fred and Hardy going to the same well of topics with her over and over and over.

Fred and Kendra discussing the dirty microphone was an immediate change the channel. I am almost at the point where I remove 98.5 from pre-set channels.

When she comes on the air, the vibe from Fred immediately becomes creepy older dude wanting to talk to a pretty girl about sexy time things. And if Wallach starts chiming in, it gets worse.

Hardy acting like a normal dad in the situation just adds to "why am I listening to this?' feeling.

I find it hilarious that this group immediately freaks out when Fred or Hardy talks to Kendra and says how gross it is whereas Zolak literally poops on his chair and everyone loves him, this forum is insane lol

Kendra is a fun, young personality and a way better interview throughout the week than that stiff Albert Breer

This is nonsense. She isn't an interview. She's a kinda of, sort of, maybe (although heavily, heavily filtered on socials) attractive woman with a mic. I like Breer, not everyone does though, but at least he brings something to the table (like, working in the NFL for 20 years). She brings her stories of dudes groveling over her in DMs and selling feet pictures during Covid.

I swear one day she's going to be like "well, the carpet can't match the curtain when it's hardwoods!!" to get the guys to ask her about her "grooming"

She brings a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at herself which Albert Breer has never even heard of

The show without guests is pretty bad, both Albert and Kendra are necessary changes of pace. Breer is ok but I’m not sure he’s anything aside from football and he can get a little overexposed in long appearances.

Looks like O’Brien was the one effectively let go. Lockhart basically left on his own accord. I would think or hope for his sake he has other offers/opportunities on the table?

I'm guessing Lockhart jumped before he was pushed. He was fired once by Beasley and Rich tossed him a lifeline (whether Lockhart appreciated it or not). He was re-hired, offered a job but not the one he wanted (per the Tweet above), and probably said, "Fuck it."

P.S. Fred and Hardy are buddies with Adam-12, so this is not at all surprising.

This is probably an accurate assessment. Maybe they offered him some random desk job, knowing he would likely not want it.

Couldn't listen this morning. Did T&H address O'Brien or Lockhart's departures, who will take over for O'Brien, or anything of the sort?

Edit: could've read the Tweet to see Adam-12 is in.

At this point I'm just upset we don't get any more hoobastank or Dan the wagon man production, what a shame

Wow, that sucks.

Bringing in Adam12 I don't see improving things.

And to think, Fred was so happy to dance on the music playing grave....

That's a good analysis of Breer. Years and years ago, I didn't like him, because I found him unlikable as a person. However, I came to appreciate how well informed he is. And he's only become far more connected over the years. In the past year or two it seems like Fred has made more of a point of making Breer's first break non-football talk, and I end up not liking Breer's contributions to those conversations.

I always had a positive opinion of Adam12 from hearing him on music radio, but I certainly didn't like his games on T&H, so I'm apprehensive as to how he might change the show.

Chad Finn published an article about the changes. After Rich left Lockhart had asked for a raise, but instead was told that he would eventually take over as lead producer on the show. When Dan O'Brien got laid off, Beasley gave Adam 12 the lead producer role, offering Lockhart a raise(one that would be a fraction of what he'd previously asked for) to stay. So, Lockhart quit.

BTW Chad's article refers to Dan O'Brien only as "O'Brien". Probably a mistake, as his Twitter doesn't show a change to a one word name.

I have traditionally enjoyed the focus Breer brings to the show when they are talking football. He by himself or on non-football topics is not overly interesting.

Good luck to DOB and Lockhart. More evidence the good ol’ days aren’t coming back.

No mention of Nick in the article. I wonder if his status has changed at all.

Also, with the amount of criticism Fred tosses towards young Nicholas, I would think he’d be on the chopping block. But Beasley decided Dan and Lockhart (in 2022) were expendable.

I think 12 sliding to EP role could be interesting, but time will tell!

Yeah, that should be fixed. Deleted a precious line that mentioned first names. Did the same with Lockhart.

Fred is definitely bummed Lockhart left. Know he advocated for him in the past with management.

That's what I figured. Sorry for pointing it out, though it's funny that when talking about radio people, even producers, they so often go by some shortened or made up name.

No Lifshatz on T&H must be because of Fred or "scheduling issues" because their stupid Saturday morning show is still on. So it obviously isn't Dan falling out of favor witht he station or anything

What about me, Chad? You forgot my first AND last name in your piece. I’m insulted!

I’m fine.

Lockhart saying he would leave if Rich stayed makes a little more sense to me now if he was looking for a way to advance. It would have been that much less likely if Rich were still around.

(He probably also didn't like Rich much)

I'm sure he says that but do you think if Fred really wanted Lockhart to have that job it still would have gone to Chapman?

Yes. Because moving Adam over saves money for Beasley, and they’re cost-cutting all over the place. They’re paying him anyway, and now they don’t have to pay Dan.

Lockhart did get offered a raise. But it wasn’t close to what he had asked for when Rich left, he hadn’t had a raise in years, and he wasn’t going to be EP. So he left.

Dumb question… what does an EP do exactly for a radio show? I only know the title from movies, and I’m assuming it’s a totally different role in radio?

Any acknowledgment of the staff changes?

I understood Rich not having a chance to say goodbye to the show but Lockhart and Dan get nothing?
I haven't heard or seen anything posted about it yet. Maybe Beasley told them to be quiet about it, which is a shame. I'm just amazed Wallach is still there in the midst of all this "cost cutting".

I thought they hinted at the personnel changes after getting an email about it, but said they weren't going to discuss it.

That really is a shame. At least give people a chance to say thanks after so many years.

Yeah, you have to think he's nervous about his job and will be the next to go. There are times he's so quiet it's easy to forget he's there or there are times he's so desperate to say anything it comes off strange.

They made a comment about how it's probably not a good idea to discuss on the air, but did say that all the talent left on good terms with each other, it was really just a management thing

With Fred's lack of filter I think it would be best for him if he said nothing.

And, knowing fred has no filer, it wouldn't surprise me if Beasley told him not to mention it

Why? Everyone knows these guys got let go. What the hell is to be lost by discussing it? Corporate shit is so inhuman.

One new wrinkle I enjoy in all of this is that 12 is curating all the rejoins instead of just the generic songs, gives the guys a little something to talk about before the main focus of the break

Holley is a pro, and the more he does with this group the better it gets.

He has a good rapport with Hardy and Wallach - at least on air they seem to genuinely like each other and it flows well - and he slid right in and definitely held his own with the Crash segment. Even if he’s uncomfortable he can laugh along with the bit and keep it moving.

I’m already liking Adam 12’s influence, admittedly it’s almost all for the music beds coming back from commercial. The games, not so much, but at least they're having fun.

It was good timing too with the Hill stuff to have a black person with different views. His story of being in the car with the white guy driving mouthing off at the cop was pretty funny.
