For how limited they were this off season, they Pelicans have had a pretty solid summer. Allen could potentially start and Rondo is a good backup PG for Holiday. Giving Jrue 5/125 is questionable given his health but I'm not sure how much choice they had. It was him or nothing.
They still have Jordan Crawford and Moore too. Pelicans are stockpiling old Celtics guards apparently. Crawford was actually pretty good for them last year in the 19 games he played. He added instant offense off the bench but you'd have to think his shooting was a fluke but he was also gone for 2 years and is still somehow only going to be 29 next month. It's possible he improved his shot or was put in a situation where he's always open.
With all that said, the Pelicans are still only like 7 or 8 deep and they are severely lacking wings, especially with the Hill injury. Like, to the point a 3 guard lineup makes sense. Who is going to give them height at the SF spot this year? They have no one. Maybe they could get something for Diallo. If they bring Cunningham back, I guess he'd work depending on his real talent shooting 3s. (.316 in 15/16, .392 last year).
