It must be really frustrating to grind out at bats every night to have the pitching give back whatever runs you get every fucking time you score.

If Sale gives us a good outing, say of at least six innings, I have a slight hope that we are in for a satisfying evening of baseball.

What a frustrating season this has been so far. It's been a while since we had prospect plate appearances and pitching innings to look forward to, and it's hard to believe that's what this team has delivered. In March, I thought playoffs for sure, maybe ALCS, maybe another series. Yuck.

That's the play I'm going to remember from 2019. Early April, in Oakland, two of the best outfielders I've seen pull up short on a can of corn to watch it bounce over the wall scoring two and putting the game out of reach.

Still, we've got baseball, and you all are a pleasant group to watch the games with. Here's to the Red Sox.

I like your approach. One game at a time, one day at a time. None of this winning streak/playoff/ wild card talk. Let's just hope for one enjoyable night of baseball.

On this day in 1988 Boston trounced Detroit 16-4 behind Dwight Evans 7 RBIs to win their 24th straight at home.

Let’s get back to winning. This season there hasn’t been enough of it.

I thought that was gone. Mookie pushed his luck, but nice triple.

Man, when he’s on, he’s so damn good. This is why I think it’s far too early to give up on him and his contract. Even great pitchers have lousy seasons from time to time.
