It is absolutely less useful than a simple foot pedal trash can. For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone went to the trouble.

There is no reason these days for any office not to have accommodations for people with a wide variety of abilities.
I would think throwing the trash at it would activate the lid closing causing the intended trash to bounce off and careen around the roomYou have to wave for it to close?
