Kansas City radio host Kevin Kietzman criticized Any Reid over the Tyreke Hill situation and in doing so brought up the events that led to the suicide death of Reid's son:

“The thing is, [the Chiefs] probably think [Hill] can fix him, but they thought they could fix him before and they failed. Andy Reid does not have a great record of fixing players. He doesn’t. Discipline is not his thing. It did not work out particularly well in his family life, and that needs to be added to this, as we’re talking about the Chiefs. He wasn’t real great at that either. He’s had a lot of things go bad on him, family and players.”

https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/06/24/andy-reid-son-death-tyreek-hill-kansas-city-radio-host
When criticized over it, he took to twitter

Kevin kietzman‏ @kkwhb 14h14 hours ago
Holy hat what’s going on here? I never mentioned one word about the tragic death of Andy Reid’s son and quickly corrected a caller who did. I was talking about the owner’s record of “fixing” players, the team’s record and Andy’s record. I was referencing the drug addiction and convictions for dealing drugs. When they served time and Reid hired them to work for his football teams, it was no longer a private matter. But blaming a parent for the death of their child in these circumstances is unthinkable and reprehensible. Period. It was NEVER mentioned or discussed and NEVER entered my mind. It makes me sad that somehow that’s what some of you thought I was saying. That would be despicable.

***

Of course, the guy still doesn't get that criticizing Redi over his family life -- the inner workings of which, Kietzman has a clue about -- is still repugnant

Yeah they fill ins are pretty awful. Mike McCarthy (never heard him before) last night was ranting about how DD had commit "baseball malpractice" in the offseason. Instant station change.

Chris Broussard was trending on Twitter today as people were clowning him for his outrageously inaccurate Kawhi reporting. That anyone puts him on their airwaves as a "reporter" is indefensible.

Annual reminder that TurtleBoy lost his job as a teacher for having a relationship with one of his students. Not enough bad stuff can happen to that guy; if anyone deserves to be doxxed its that motherfucker.

He wasn't the one who was doxxed. Someone made a reservation and realized it was a dry restaurant and wanted to cancel it. They charged him a cancellation fee. He left a review on yelp. She found his twitter account using the information he used when making the reservation and "atted" him to call him out. When it was pointed out that this maybe wasn't the best thing for her to do she flipped out.
TrutleBoy may be shit but she's the wrong party in this one.

Okay, to be fair I saw that the article appeared to be written by TurtleBoy and stopped reading after the headline, which is a mistake on my behalf.

Plus he made the reservation after midnight and cancelled it the next morning, so it never affected the restaurant's food preparation. He was annoyed at the $50 charge and left the yelp review, and that's when she went to work.

I didn't know the history with Turtleboy; in this case he's merely passing the info along.

I think using the word doxxed is a little over the top and cheapens the word. He left a Yelp review and she found him ( using a shady as fuck method) and tweeted at him. I hardly think that deserves to be considered being doxxed.

Don't defend her. Maybe it's not doxxing in the strictest sense, but she didn't have the right to publicize his Yelp review on his twitter stream. She obviously is not cut out for the restaurant business if she has to do that in response to a Yelp review.

She's a rampaging lunatic on Twitter. She's apparently always been that way. This is the first time that she's crossed the line into doxxing someone though.

Aren't Yelp reviews public to begin with? I don't see the problem here. Twitter/Yelp/etc are a far cry from doxxing someone.

Yelp reviews are not necessarily tied to a reviewer's Twitter handle. Again, there's no defense for what she did. She should focus on running her restaurant.

Wow, this is shocking to me. Obviously you don't really know a person based on their articles and podcasts, but this is pretty surprising. He's a really good baseball writer but if he did what he was accused of, I won't be reading or listening to him anymore.

Former sports....something or other Jen Royle had herself quite the weekend on Twitter. She got a bad Yelp review over her cancellation policies and promptly went out and doxxed the guy, and things escalated from there.

Jen Royle's UnsTABLE.
She and TB bonded over their mutual dislike of Trenni Kusnierek? WTF?

When the death pool for 2020 comes around again, she should be a first- or second-round draft pick. She's going to end up OD'ing on something or hanging herself in prison when she inevitably breaks the law in an attempt at revenge.

Friends with Schilling and Thornton? Yeah, that tells the whole story there. She's the prom queen who doesn't realize high school is over and people aren't going to kiss her ass to stay popular. What a raging dumpster fire of a human being.

I'd lay good odds she owns MAGA merchandise and uses words and terms like "libtards" and "lamstream media" and believes everything that comes out of the White House regardless of how often it's debunked.

That said, can we please stop linking Turtleboy stuff? I feel slimy, no pun intended, for even giving that shitbag a click.

Edit: Forgot to quote the post I was replying to.

I am guessing the above is not referring to the most recent discussion in this thread
It reminds of that moment when Frank Burns stands up during the screening of "My Darling Clementine" and tries to join in on a joke that was told two scenes earlier

She’s actually extremely liberal but is yet close with Schilling.

Like seriously, who the fuck dislikes Trenni? She is pretty awesome.
Apparently the same kind of person who can be friends with a hateful shitfuck like Schilling despite having opposing views and the same kind of person who loses her shit over a bad review for her restaurant and then goes around attacking anyone else who calls her out for it. She's probably equally crazy in more intimate settings, which may be the only thing she truly has going for her. Well, that and the animals stuff.

I know this is a terrible jinx, but... a name randomly popped into my head today. A guy who was once one of the biggest jerks in sports media, but melted down. I looked him up on Twitter and he appears to be podcasting to an audience of nearly no one. He tweets out podcast details every day and gets maybe one response on Twitter a week. As far as I can tell, that is the only means by which he is sharing his sports opinions these days. It's a remarkable fall from grace, and gives me a little faith in humanity. That name was
Jay Mariotti.

They’ve already rebranded the show in their online audio archives. They even cropped a picture with Maggie Gray, Carlin, and Bart Scott to remove Carlin. That’s so typical of radio/funny; eliminate him from the histories in whatever way possible without spending a dime to rebrand.
Agreed. For the longest time, they used an acient picture with dark hair Francesa's, and Beningo's picture when he had hair.

I popped on WFAN tonight to listen to the lamentations of Jets fans and really couldn't believe that Steve Somers is STILL doing this. When I was in college in the mid-90s, I listened to MMD when I could and had Steve Somers narrate more than a few all-nighters. The fact that he is still on the air is remarkable -- he sounded like an old man 25 years ago.

Leaving in a bit to the studio :)
The Sweater and The Schmooze... you there and me here...
Wasn't it: me here..you there. Whatever happened to Russ Salzburg? (yes, I can google it myself)

11:35 today, not sure if they were just killing airtime or if they were legit clueless, but Joe and Evan were lamenting if only there were some way to ascertain which NFL games the NYC market might get this Sunday. So they reverse engineered (?) it by looking at the NFL master schedule for the day. Then this realization:

Jets and Gmen are both Away at 1pm. THAT MEANS WE MIGHT GET TWO LATE GAMES??? Any way we can find out about that??? OK, we're going to see if we can find out during the break....

I don't follow the NFL, so I could at least try to understand if flex games came into play, or if it was Mon or Tues and things were possibly still up in the air. But it's Fri afternoon, and these guys do this for a living.

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but I think Ted Johnson and Matt Cassel are excellent on Patriots Pre-Game Live. Especially happy for Teddy, who has battled some personal challenges.

Ted's fantastic on weekends and fill-in on 98.5.

Not sure if he could be a regular host, but weekly appearances as a guest? Yes, please.

The fill ins on sports radio in this region are unbelievably embarrasing. I have caught moments of Patrick Gilroy on EEI today and Matt McCarthy on 98.5 yesterday (among others) and I don't know how to describe them other than embarrassing. Contrived yelling, hot takes, etc. It's sad this is what the up and coming generation of sports radio "personalities" have become. Absolutely no talent.
