When an organization is rotten at the top, whether it be the Trump administration or Fox News or the NY Knicks, dysfunction follows. The fact that the Washington football team is a dumpster fire is not shocking news. Dan Snyder is not a good human being.

It would take some convincing before I bought that ANY NFL owner is a "good human being." They are kind of a rogues' gallery. But Twitter suggests that what Snyder did and allowed to happen in his org is beyond the pale. Which is really saying something for an NFL owner. It's a little surprising that the actual report is still not out.

Edit: Here comes the spin, via Schefter -- "this is what our culture WAS, but we've ousted the bad characters"

The Washington Post is preparing a story about its NFL team that is expected to highlight the culture that is existed. Within the past week, front office members Richard Mann III and Alex Santos, as well as radio play-by-play voice Larry Michael, all left the organization.

The top, in this case, is Roger Goodell. The entire league is rotten. The Washington team is a symptom.

My mind is reeling about what this is all about, but it sounds like is will be shocking. I'm thinking along the lines of possible ritual sacrifices, human trafficking, bestiality, or maybe even being generally aware of deflating footballs.

This is likely true.

The irony is that the league rightfully recognized that Trump was nothing but bad news when he came sniffing around as potential buyer for the Bills. Too radioactive for the cesspool that is NFL ownership, yet he was elected President. Summon the meteors.

This was good.

Wasn't there a story a few years ago about the Redskins basically trapping cheerleaders on an island? Why did that story not blow up? It was essentially close to human trafficking as I recall.

They likely scrutinized him because of his financial bullshittery as opposed to his other numerous ethical problems.

UNCONFIRMED RUMOR:

Capri Bibbs said on his IG live with Gruden’s son calling out how he got fucked by Gruden b/c he was sleeping with one of the receptionists at Redskins Park, who was also fucking Jay Gruden at the same time. That photo of Jay leaked where he was drunk AF and he got in..

trouble with his wife & family. Jay was apparently super jealous of Kapri Bibb’s cause he had gotten with Jay’s new side chick. The following week Kapri was benched in favor of Byron Marshall, who in the following game missed a really bad block which lead to Alex Smith’s injury

So why do they fire the other 2 guys considering Gruden's long gone? And what does this have to do with a radio guy?

Jay Gruden and his kid were fucking the same receptionist, allegedly?
Let me rephrase the above unconfirmed twitter rumor, because you're right, its sentence structure was so tortured, I had to read it a few times:

Kapri Bibbs, who was on IG Live with Jay Gruden's son Jack, talked about how Jay Gruden had exacted workplace retribution on him for the crime of sleeping with the same receptionist that Jay Gruden himself was also fucking. After Jay discovered this, he benched Kapri in favor of an inferior lineman who may or may not have gotten Alex Smith injured.

It uses the word "fucked" in a couple different senses, which didn't help the clarity. Also, Jack Gruden is a real piece of work himself, so why he's on any sort of live stream with an active member of the team is an unanswered question.

Edit: apparently I was wrong about radio guy’s innocence.

Radio guy fleeing before everything hits the fan. Haven't heard him implicated in anything. I don't know about the firings.

That's scandalous, but it doesn't seem to rise to the level of minority owners looking to unload their position.
There have been lots of other rumors too. But not worth repeating since I don't know which ones have any basis in fact. But it does seem some (or many) very bad things were going on.

No Gruden and Bibbs. Also some Reddit stuff saying huge sex for scoop culture with media.
Okay, since we’re already posting two of the unsubstantiated Reddit/Twitter rumors, might as well go for the whole shebang. Note: The following is intended for entertainment purposes. If you aren’t ready to discuss it on the level of “Haha, can you imagine if that were true?”, then don’t click on the spoiler.

Odds are the long build up and cryptic tweets from media is simply leaving a vacuum to be filled by creative people. Maybe there’s a small nugget of truth in some of this....maybe.

According to insiders and anonymous Washington Post employees, the article will allege that:

Dan Snyder abuses drugs and alcohol Snyder paid off refs. Some refs have made $2 million from him. And Snyder is not the only team owner paying off refs. Others do it too.

Snyder and former Redskins coach Jay Gruden, brother of Jon Gruden, pimped out their cheerleaders to season ticket holders while holding their passports from them in a foreign country.

Jay Gruden and then Redskins running back Kapri Bibbs were sleeping with the same woman. When Jay found out, he got petty and benched Bibbs. During that game when Bibbs was on the bench, Bibbs' replacement missed a block and that resulted in quarterback Alex Smith suffering a broken leg. Alex hasn't been able to play football ever since.

Snyder and Gruden would hold sex parties with rampant drug usage and some sexual assaults Snyder held nude photoshoots with the the Redskins cheerleaders.

Lawyers are already involved, and possibly the FBI.
Personally, while perhaps the most improbable, I’m kind of pulling for the ref thing because fuck Goodell.

If it's on Twitter it must be true!

Maybe Washington is following the old Clinton strategy of leaking "OMG! He looks so awful in his testimony about Lewinsky!" so that when the actual story broke, people were like, "Oh, that wasn't so bad!"

Sadly, if that’s true. The ref bribing will overshadow the sexual assaults.

As many feared, this is a terrible story, but not as terrible as was rumored. Curious to see if that winds up tamping down the levels of outrage. It also sounds like everyone who's mentioned other than Snyder has left the team, and there's nothing directly implicating Snyder in any of this.

The pimping thing isn't new and I believe was credibly (and by that I mean the mainstream press!) reported a few years ago. SoSH at the time referred to it as blatant sex trafficking. But no one else seemed to care.

It's bad, but it's literally nowhere near what people had been talking about for the last 24 hours. I would even say that the rumors of the last 24 hours could diminish the impact of this story.

Schefter carrying copious amounts of water by focusing on Washington’s amusement at the more outlandish rumors rather than focusing on the deplorable conduct actually reported on. Fucking access merchants.

Minor nit. Kapri Bibbs is a running back, and he's not very big. He's listed at 5'10, 203 on Wiki. 2018 was the last season he played in the league, and he never got much run. He's not the reason Smith got hurt.

Yes, I'm aware. It was also discussed earlier in this thread. As suspected, this was just someone throwing together everything they've heard.

I was refreshing my memory on the cheerleader scandal earlier. For the life of me, I can't figure out why that didn't become a bigger thing.

I know all NFL owners are morally corrupt but two owners that are less corrupt are San Fransisco and Philly. Despite releasing Kap, I think the York family has helped many progression causes. The same goes for Lurie in Philly. Those are the 2 exceptions. Philly brought back Michael Vick to great criticism remember.

We should just pretend the ref-bribing thing is true, kinda like Ice Cube's porcelain doll collection. The world will be a better place if that takes off.

I wouldn't say all. I don't know many, but the ones I know seem ok.

Off the top of my head:

Packers: Owned by the people!
Steelers: I can't stand the franchise, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Rooneys.
Bengals: Mike Brown is as dumb as the day is long, but I'd say his morals are fine.
New England: Yes, I'm going there. If hitting up a rub and tug is wrong, I don't want to be right. Kraft has done so many great things for this community as well.
Giants: The Maras don't raise any eyebrows
Chiefs: The Hunts don't either

If this is the extent of it, hard to imagine Snyder being forced out. Not because these allegations don't warrant it, but because we all know the league is easily tone deaf and amoral enough to slap him on the wrist and wait for the story to go away.

The cradle of the game.
Washington Misogynists?
Washington Scumbags?
Washington Chauvinists?

Why do I get the sense this is only the first drop of a rainstorm of similar allegations involving professional sports franchises/ownerships?

And whatever the penalty here, double it if it exists in Foxboro.

I’d say the Hunts and the Steelers employing the likes of Hill and Ben is a strike against their morals.

Sadly, if that’s true. The ref bribing will overshadow the sexual assaults.
What record would they have had if he hadn't been bribing them?

And how many minutes before the reporting turns to BB must have been bribing officials and then how long before the pats are fined?
