Not to mention having a wife and three kids. Like I don't really care but he may be done at ESPN. And then he can come back as the new Greg Anthony.

Assuming he’s done at ESPN, after a timeout (and some tending to family matters) I’d love him as a Scal replacement (but I’d also love it if Maxwell was promoted from the radio team — he’s great).

I chuckled that one in the comments was “fuck ray allen”

On the one hand, I doubt a high-stakes poker game where the host hires some "entertainment" is particularly rare in pro sports or Hollywood circles. If all he did was play poker, get a neck rub, and enjoy the show, this doesn't seem like fireable behavior.

On the other hand, the stupidity required to IG live any of that is profound and probably merits a wake up call suspension.

That's got to be Kedem white grape juice, right?

That live pic on its own is probably not fireable, but we'll see what else is out there.

This thread may be better in P&G, no?

If a former Celtic partying late night with strippers doesn't belong in a forum named after Mark Blount's affinity for wine then I don't know what does.

Heavens, can we please escort this man to prison for a few years to teach him a proper lesson? Clearly a suspension will not suffice for this type of behavior. He must be fired! No wait, that’s not enough. My God, what’s next - murder?!

In reality obviously very dumb to live stream the equivalent of a bachelor party. On the other hand, holy over reaction.

Yeah that's where I am. I mean, ESPN has to do whatever they think is good for their business of course, but I expected to see/hear that Paul was doing lines while getting a hummer or something. This looks like a boring 2 Live Crew video.

And as we know, once you get married and have kids you can never, ever play poker and look at strippers.

I think castration is in order, at least.

Yeah, I don't care at all. I could see him getting suspended or fired because Disney but he'll bounce back on his feet.

Predicting what a risk-averse media company will do is not the same as agreeing it should be done.

Jamele Hill can tell you what happens when you embarrass The Mouse.
Ehh, what you’re saying is true, of course. He is definitely getting at least a time out for this. I was basing my comment off of that poster saying he had a wife and kids. I didn’t see him getting blow jobs and snorting lines, so he didn’t do anything morally wrong. Just professionally stupid.

I mean I said I don't care and his wife may not even care, but Disney will almost certainly care.

People keep trying to deny that Puritanism is coming back in a big way but I see it everywhere.

He was at a private poker game? You can get the same neck rub at the table by a scantily clad woman while scantily clad women dance in the background in lots of Vegas casinos. Who fucking cares?

I thought the comments were jokes at first. Pierce has been playing poker while getting massages regularly dating back to his playing days. People were even swearing. I’ve seen Russell Westbrook do the same. What is it exactly that Pierce is doing wrong? What law is he breaking? What language in his contract is he breaching? The girls aren’t doing anything illegal either. Talk about a nothing sandwich even where today’s bar sits. I’d guess ESPN makes a statement that they are aware of the video and are looking into it......until this nonsense blows over.

They can care all they want but unless there is language in Pierces contract that clearly states he is in violation what is it that they can do?

I thought this was hilarious. Who cares? If he was on TNT, they'd rightfully get a full season's worth of mileage out of this by poking fun at him.

It's professionaly stupid, but I'll say that he survives this in his current role. It's not going to be national news, and he wasn't doing anything wrong, at least on video.

I give props to Pierce for using the Game of Zones finale pic for his twitter pic.

Any chance that Pierce played ESPN like a tool while managing to get his name trending? He just created a massive market for himself.

I heard about this one the radio and it sounded like a pretty bad video. Then I saw it.

Embarrassing maybe, but probably the most tame scandal anybody could ever have. I mean, Kobe raped a woman, and even if your don't believe her his extramarital affair is 100x more immoral than anything in that video.

Did he? There's really only 2 networks which carry the NBA and one of them just fired him.

I guess he could go to NBC Sports or something but these days it seems like networks don't really do a lot to cover sports they don't carry.

What market? TNT is the only other network that has the NBA. They aren't hiring him.

I guess he can have his choice of podcast networks.
