The effort is there, they just lack skill. They should be seeing what Poitras, Merkulov, and Lysell can give them instead of playing mediocre grinders like McLaughlin, Koepke, and Geekie.

Zero argument from me. That's my one complaint is the kids should be getting a chance over plugs like Geekie and Koepke. I don't mind giving Mclaughlin run on the 3rd line, he's actually scored a bit at this level and is responsible defensively. Geekie, Koepke, etc bring nothing. Poitras being in Providence still is malpractice
