Bruins lost the Debrusk goal similar to that where Jake’s stick was down on ice and the puck glanced off his glove finger. That's a bullshit rule if that's considered a hand pass
I remember, and I thought it was a bullshit rule then too. Not commenting on having different calls, just the fact that it's an option is dumbBruins lost the Debrusk goal similar to that where Jake’s stick was down on ice and the puck glanced off his glove finger.
Haha I take that back that was less than the Marchand uncalled trip at the blue line.Oh look finally one of the many penalties is called on the Canucks
Literally involved DeBrusk the last time, too.A deflection is only a hand pass of it's a Bruins. Rule 5 subsection fuck you
There was nothing there either time, especially given the specific language of the rule itself.I know people don't want to hear it, and again I think it's a dumb rule, but there was more to call on Jake than the one tonight
Again, not arguing the rule, but tonight a slapper just hit a guy in front, happened to be his hand. I could 100% see in the moment Jake "accidentally" extending his fingers while grabbing the stick and just so happens to hit the puck. Again, not saying that's what happened, but it's completely possible which would be a violation. I'm sure that's what they "saw"There was nothing there either time, especially given the specific language of the rule itself.
The logo on the sweater and who’s affiliated with it.I would love to know what the NHL is using to differentiate a deflection off a glove while a stick is being moved to deflect a puck and hand pass going forward. Is it a hand has to be off the stick and swatting or trying to hit the puck with no stick?
Do we set the over/under of do we see 2025 before we see the nhl contradict this interpretation or do we set it at we have to wait till the playoffs?Again, not arguing the rule, but tonight a slapper just hit a guy in front, happened to be his hand. I know the two different actions. There’s no universe in which DeBrusk “directed” the pick to his teammate or “allowed” his teammates to gain an advantage in the playoffs. Not did he bat it in the air to do so, or push it along the ice to do so. It was nonsense, and called in a strict liability “it touched his hand” sense, with none of the necessary intent. Intent was similarly lacking tonight.Again, not arguing the rule, but tonight a slapper just hit a guy in front, happened to be his hand. I'll give it a month haha. Certainly know there is no consistency in calling a lot of this stuffDo we set the over/under of do we see 2025 before we see the nhl contradict this interpretation or do we set it at we have to wait till the playoffs?
I agree, but I think you're under selling the shit that happens on ice in the moment. You don't understand some of the insane shit I've done in net to make a save. Again, Jake more likely than not did not do it on purpose, but he made a motion that could be viewed as such, and the league probably wanted to set a hard standard in that situation so there can be no grey area discussion like we are having.I know the two different actions. I’m not underselling anything, and the league literally didn’t set a hard, no gray area standard, given what we just saw in this game.I'll give it a month haha. Certainly know there is no consistency in calling a lot of this stuff

I also don't want Nap to ban me for rehashing this shit haha
Yeah we agree for the most partI’m not underselling anything, and the league literally didn’t set a hard, no gray area standard, given what we just saw in this game.
I mean, if your point is, “Yeah, they invented some shit on a pretext,” then I’m with you, I guess.
