Replay I just saw of Raymond’s one-timer suggests there’s no way Swayman could track and react to that shot in time. He looks good to me tonight — for the first time this season.

It was low blocker. He was gobbling those up the last two years.

9 SOG half-way through the game is a reversion and not encouraging
The lack of possession issues are still there, but what are they’re shots attempted? I feel like they’re at least attempting to shoot. That Geekie shot off the post a couple of minutes ago would have not happened previously.

Its interesting -- is there a place or site I can go to to see shots attempted? Not being snarky here at all -- just the opposite -- I'm curious

The second Wotherspoon got hit a little high, I was telling myself, this dumb fuck is going to go after the guy and get called. Idiot.

I have a question for you -- it looks to me that teams are targeting the right side of Sway -- both up and down. Are you seeing that as well? is that the emerging book on him now? I recall last year it was rebounds and the glove is why I am asking. He seems to have fixed the latter two. So maybe all thats left is the right side?

An update on this -- I was looking around for an "attempted shot" stat and although I have yet to find that it stands to reason that a cousin stat would be "shots blocked" -- which is available on any box score of the game.

I honestly haven't noticed, but that's more not really paying attention to that. For the most part when goalies aren't on their game and start cheating a bit it's usually the other way, opening up too much space on the glove side. However, Sway is such a technically sound goalie when he is right I could see him more focused on the near side, post to post, and it's usually easier to beat blocker side. Wouldn't surprise me if the playbook right now is to try and come at him from his left, get him on that post and go far. Now that you have me thinking about it he has given up a couple goals just like that. I think you're on to something, but can't be completely sure. I'll watch that more closely
