Darn that probably clinches the #3 seed for LBJ.

Looks like a complete accident. Markelle cut straight into him, but Embid mishandled the ball and bent down in front of a charging Fultz.

Surprised that with all the screening/cutting/picking, players don't clunk heads more often.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Right when they were really clicking on all cylinders — probably the best team in the NBA over the last few weeks outside of Houston.

Sports are cruel. Now I don't feel as mad about Joe Kelly.

Good news he was able to have surgery today, which means it didn't have to be delayed for swelling for too long. As long as concussion and any potential double vision issues don't linger he could be back very early in the playoffs...

As MASKED EMBIID!

You know Joel is going to have fun with the mask. The trainer will probably have to talk him out of wearing the same mask from The Phantom of the Opera.
He's already having fun with his newfound free time. Posting pics of himself in the hospital bed, tweeting out to Rihanna asking if she's single now, etc.

The NBA is a better league when Embiid is in the lineup but the world is a better place when he's on the shelf.

Congrats LondonSox, Ramagellan and other Philly fans on the 3 seed.

The process is complete, they have built a winner.

Celts v 76ers 2nd round match up will be fun.

I was at the game tonight and it was awesome. This Sixers team is incredible to watch. The Bucks wanted nothing to do with the game and the Sixers simply punished them. Fultz looked great - still not shooting from outside but he gets to where he wants to go. His teammates seem to love him. Sky is the limit for these guys and they’ll have a max slot and top 10 pick coming.

Knicks and Nets are absolutely screwed. It’ll be Boston/Philly/Toronto duking it out for a long time.

I don't care about the Process: Sam Hinkie is still the weirdest dude I ever met in the NBA.

4 years ago players would have begged to not go there. Now they’re set up to be a regular in the ECF. Quite remarkable.
They tanked and found two gold nuggets in the draft. Colangelo added three shooters this year for Simmons to feed. Not sure you can pencil anyone into the conference finals on a regular basis. Boston and Toronto remain the two best teams until proven otherwise and Indiana is a tough out for anyone.

Don’t forget the Saric deal, which was a great one. They were patient waiting for this all to come together. Obviously, Embiid needs to stay healthy but if he does, it’ll be Boston and Philly duking it out for years to come. Toronto will still be tough but Lowry is 32 now and will be declining soon. Obviously, we don’t know what LeBron is doing yet so that could change things if, say, they’re able to keep him and trade for a vet with their lotto pick.

can't really disagree.
I will say they have such a fantastic foundation though because they have two 2 way foundations.
Today embiid was awful offensively but my God he was a force the other end.
To have a primary creator and a center with defensive chops after basically a season of play each is pretty rare.

It's so so so much easy to build around that. Esp with Covington too. You can accommodate a score first guy on a team with 3-4 good defenders. Esp when one is center.

You can plug vets into roles instead of asking them to do things they can't etc. This is really what gives me such hope.

And they create matchup problems with Simmons and Embiid. Negative is they can get hurt in the same way when Belinelli and TJ are on the floor.

76ers passed two tough road tests. Now they need to finish off Miami in 5. One step at a time.

I'm pretty sick of it, but Dario is hilarious and awesome.
He's a guy you can hate when he's playing you but he's so goofy and unintentionally hilarious it is hard to when he's not doing it against you

Putting an end to a 4 year megathread. If someone wants to start a new thread on the up coming season, etc. have at it.
