‘Players want to play’

Would love to hear Schefter explain what that means, but he isn’t in the business of that.
I don’t know how he still has a functioning spine given all the water he has been carrying.

Even if the assertion is generally true (it very well could be), he is presenting it every time as a blanket statement that should be patently obvious to everyone.

Ferentz out. Andrews still out. Wynn and Mason questionable with calf issues. This could be some o-line Sunday.

J-man, what's your call on this game. Let's say Lock plays.

My apologies if you've already posted this.
i think NE wins even if lock plays because i assume ne will throw more esp over the middle and i assume bill will attick us like brady did denver only shot is turnovers and sloppy play by ne lock this year seems to be a steak passer up and down i say 27-17 ne or even 17-10 ne fagio will keep denver in the game i just fear denver does not have the offence to keep up with u guys

Would you like to add more context to this post?
It is unfortunate that the Patriots, with their dubious recent history with the NFL office, are now in the position of being the first team with a positive Covid test and no ability to reschedule their game without causing the NFL to have to do something besides pretend it will all work out.

Yeah I thought that was pretty self explanatory.
Got it & thanks. I didn't quite get the angle at first.

Personally I’d be thrilled if the Pats were the ones to throw it all into chaos. Who cares if the NFL punishes them at this point. It’s all a huge joke.

Hungover?
Lol I wondering about the timing of that. I would have guessed disciplinary reasons but maybe he happened to get sick in the past 24-36 hours by coincidence.

A little surprised they didn't announce it as a "suspension" for PR purposes.

Wouldn't all of Denver's RBs be high risk?
This entire thing is so arbitrary and makes no sense. If cases are skyrocketing in the community, these guys are going to test positive.

Bubble it up or just accept half the games are going to be like this with multiple players/coaches out for each team.

Isn't Michel still on IR? Isn't this move semantics, at least with him? He was going to miss another 2 games minimum regardless.

This is all pretty crazy, but purely as a football fan, I’m incredibly thirsty for a full-squad (meaning Cam and Gilmore) version of the Patriots. It feels like their last real game was 4 months ago to me.

At this rate, they will all have antibodies by December. Advantage Patriots?

I mean the league. How do you have a game tomorrow with positives today? It’s insane.

I’m not talking about teams or players.
I don’t know...people test positive at my workplace and the rest of us all show up the next day.

I bet the positives wouldn’t even know they were positive aside from the fact they are tested 3x week. Doesn’t seem like Gilmore or Newton had symptoms.

In the last couple weeks Trump, Chris Christie, and Nick Saban - 3 individuals that we’d probably define as higher risk than the rest of the population - have emerged completed unharmed. At what point do we just move on from this??

Do you wrestle with your coworkers as part of your job?

And do we really going to debate this again, Tim?

The President and Chris Christie were only hospitalized, with one of them (as far as we know) receiving a cocktail of experimental drugs to help them recover.

Let the boys play!!!

It is what it is?

It's a big digression, but Christie was in ICU for a week. Maybe he emerged "completely unharmed" but I wouldn't bet on that just yet.

Christie's a morbidly obese old man who may have multiple other co-morbidities. Healthy young people being hospitalized for this is nearly unheard of.
