Jordan Spieth played the Old Course for the second time in his life last Monday. Went way left on 18 that day, too, and liked the angle.
 
 
 
 
He may have liked the angle, but he still didn't play it there on purpose.

Oosty had tio have par, and bailing out to the left hasn't been an easy par.  He may have figured on trusting his driver so he doesn't have to trust his putter with a 10 footer for par.

Of course, he left himself a 10 footer for par anyway.

If Day had Spieth's spin he'd be golden. If Spieth had Day's lack of spin, he'd have a shot.
