I think this has been mentioned, but it's RICH when Chiefs fans are saying that this quick signing MUST mean that BB tampered. I mean, it's almost like THIS didn't just happen:

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/hours-after-getting-released-lesean-mccoy-finds-new-home-chiefs
"Hours after getting released, LeSean McCoy finds a new home with the Chiefs".

I mean, it's almost like it's not possible for a team to anticipate a potential cut, have an offer prepared and ready to go, and the moment the cut happens, make that offer and have it get accepted.

What was Witlock going on about? I searched and saw some remnants on the Google Machine about him saying he'd put his salary on the money line for Steelers or something but that's about it.

Andy Reid would have positively influenced AB and made him a better person. BB and TB just want to use him to win and don't really care about him.

This was said with no irony, not a single reference to Tyreek Hill or Kareem Hunt, and came out in a weird anti-Patriot Tweet storm.

He said he was betting his 401k on the Steelers because "God don't like ugly" and this is the end of the dynasty.

This. And predictably he got shit for it for reasons that are so obvious they don’t deserve the bandwidth discussing them.

I think the last two days of seeing how miserable the Pats make the Steelers and their fans might even override the last super bowl. Does that make me a bad person?

No, but the last Super Bowl (which tied the Steelers' six) is a large reason WHY the Pats make Steelers' fans so miserable, so the two are intertwined.

Relatedly, last year's SB win (and the fact the Steelers missed the playoffs entirely) is great from a Steelers trash talk perspective because it negates any consolation the Steelers could take from their regular-season win over the Pats.

Last night my Dad was getting mad at them showing the Steelers Super Bowl highlights and talking about how they have won a bunch of Super Bowls too. I told him that every time they mention that Pittsburgh AND New England have six Super Bowls, it drives Steeler fans insane and it should be relished at every opportunity.

Well hopefully by the end of this season, that will be rectified and they can feel better.

If you have Steelers fan friends, console them with the fact that there's a pretty good chance they'll one again be the only franchise with 6 titles in like 6 months.

Not surprising the NFL doesn’t want its premium products broken. I wonder what the actually monetary impact of Breese and Rothlesburger going down is for the NFL. I can’t image there isn’t some impact.

Almost none of the major outlets that tweeted about it included a video but I found it on Sporting News. It was a little late but certainly not penalty worthy. I see it as the ref giving him a little warning that he's cutting it close and take it easy. This stuff happens all the time in basketball and I'm sure other sports. "Not worthy of a call but I'm looking out for you now. Be careful"

Brady Hit
We saw this in the SB Mic'd up. After the Donald hit on Brady that really could have been called a penalty, the referee went over to Donald and basically said "We could have called you for that hit, be smart."

Raekwon McMillan told me when he hit Brady on Sunday - a perfectly legit hit - the referee told him "Stay off Tom." NFL still protecting those QBs amid several early season injuries to marquee ones
Yahoo had this as well and says there's no way of knowing exactly what was said but it's possible it was a more generic "Stay off the QB".

But this is exactly what the Dolphins should be talking about.

They don’t have anything else to do.

Wow, that hit is so light that I assume that something was lost in translation there.

Just 10 years ago McMillan would have finished the hit, driving Brady into the ground and landing on top of him, and no one would have even thought twice about it. That play does a great job of demonstrating how the game has changed.

And for the record I think the change is for the better.

They called Jamal Adams for a roughing the passer on Mayfield on Monday night, and it really wasn't anything close to a bad hit. On the replay, it looked like it was a momentum hit more than anything. The Browns were later called twice for roughing on Siemian, but I had long stopped watching by then.

Those are vile tears, not salty ones.
Inexplicable tears, perhaps. I missed where Brady was dominant way before Trump had an inkling of running for prez. And where people from New England started worshipping him in 2002-ish and everyone who is a fan of other teams have hated on Brady and screamed "Cheatriots" for about as long? Not sure what that has to do with white supremacy, unless there are racist Dolphins fans who are somehow rooting for him now and I missed it?

Although it is "refreshing" that my alma mater URI is on the forefront of moonbat research rather than the usual Cambridge stalwarts, I guess. Usually the folks at that school are to the right of me.

Last I knew Tom Brady is popular in exactly seven states. I am unconvinced that New England and Michigan are the major hotbeds of white supremacy. Maybe I’m wrong.

That’s not the first I’ve heard that line of reasoning. When the Patriots lost against the Eagles my Twitter timeline was full of people saying that they were happy because the Patriots finally lost and also that that must upset all of Trump’s supporters. It still doesn’t make much sense to me. I thought it was because BB was perhaps a Trump supporter, but that’s not it according to the people I decided to engage with. The Patriots are, “obviously” the team for white supremacy.
