There are a few posts already in other threads about the season's new kits, but for teams that don't have a thread, post them here.

A lot of people are annoyed that teams switch styles every year, and while it definitely is just a marketing tool, I really like it and try to buy the good looking ones.  So far this year, my favorite has been this one:

As a United fan, for me it doesn't get much better than the home and away of the 2007-2008 season.  I especially love the bad ass black away kit:

What, if any, are the best places around Boston for kit-shopping?  And yes, I realize online is also an option.

We Got Soccer in Foxborough seems to have a good selection. Just learned about it and may check it out tonight.

We Got Soccer is an excellent store but you'll never get the variety you can online with places like soccer.com and worldsoccershop.com.

What I would do, if you want to buy a kit thats online, is go to a store and try on another's teams kit made by the same manufacturer to get sized up.

West Ham's new Home kit is really nice. (Of course some of the traditionalists are bitching at blue home shorts instead of white)

I can never tell who any team is just by looking at the kits. A downfall of not following closely and the advertising I guess.

I love the world of soccer uniforms and can't get enough of the stuff. Umbro and Nike make the classiest stuff; simplicity is at the core of their work and it's beautiful (of course, simplicity and classiness are probably just in style right now; garishness will no doubt return).  Adidas does middle-ground design work and IMO ruin many otherwise interesting designs by insisting that the ||| stripe mark appear along the shoulders and sleeves of every single shirt they make.  (United is next on that front.) Warrior seems to be into self-sabotage with some of their work, but I can't say it hasn't raised their profile.  Smaller companies do good work too; I particularly grew to like Errea who made my club's kit until this year.

Southampton are doing something interesting this year; they weren't happy with their uniform options and decided to take the whole process in-house, and are producing the whole kit themselves.  Visually they did a nice job; I'm no expert about the technology behind modern kits (and how much it really makes a difference anyway) but I'm assuming they'll be fine.

Favorite jersey of the last few years: Universitario's 2012 "claw crest" shirt by Umbro.

For anyone wondering (or looking to make a purchase), this is Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa, a club in the third tier in Spain.  Their best-known opponent this year will be Oviedo.

Naw. Their best-known opponent this year will be drunk people looking to have their wine glass refilled and sample the hors d'oeuvres.

Manchester City and Newcastle both released 3rd kits.  Interestingly Manchester City's 3rd kit uses exactly the same template as Manchester United's 3rd kit.

California. Duh.
The thing that stood out for me from that top 10 in Europe article is that Fly Emirates is the shirt sponsor for Real Madrid, PSG, AC Milan, and Arsenal.  They sponsor Hamburger in Germany, as well.  How much advertising does one airline need?

I'll give the Wonga rectangle credit in that it looks exactly like it sounds.

Heh. It had never occurred to me to pronounce it with a short o. Due to my linguistic background, I've been pronouncing it with a long o.

Sure, the look.  But to play in them?

I doubt they're actually made from denim.  It's got to be just a visual finish on the traditional breathable poly material.

(I think?)
