Much needed win turns into a blowout. My game ball goes to Mac & the entire coaching staff.

Last game in Miami is next!

Nothing wrong with getting well against the Jags.

Mac. Bourne. Wilkerson. Running backs.

That was a Globetrotters-level matchup, but still great to see everyone play well. Big Hightower sack to set the tone early, Harris finishing off early drives, JC's pick basically finished the game.

Game ball to Shad Khan for running a hopelessly incompetent franchise.

Mac, OL, Khan. Covid deserves some credit, but fuck covid.

Mac was thoroughly under control today, even when he did have pressure. No happy feet, only one duck. Lots of good throws, touch throws. Finally started dry humping the seams. Good to see the bounceback.

And he had his 4th TD dropped by Wilkerson on a pretty good throw.
Game Ball to Mac Jones - really solid effort with some really pretty throws.
Coaching staff - great mix of running and passing - scoring 50 points is great
OL - gave Mac time and blocked well for the running backs
Entire defense - got pressure, got turnovers, enough said.

Last week I said the entire team wore the goat horns aside from Harris and Folk. Today it’s similar, game balls all around. The Jags are a joke, but you beat bad teams the way the Pats did today. Punched them early, never let them get up.

Barmore for finally getting a sack to go along with his outstanding pressure all year. Wilkerson for showing us what a backup X should be. Dugger for not just his int but his run defense too. Remember how people dunked on Bill for his 2nd round DB choices? What a dumb narrative based on a small sample size. Can we kindly put that to bed now? Dugger might be a pro bowler next year.

Right up there with the RUTGERS LOL takes. They got three starting caliber secondary players (DMC, Ryan, Harmon), including one mainstay Pro Bowler in DMC, from the school.

I had never heard that snippet the announcers said about Meyers today--that he picked the Pats because they drafted a WR in the first round and he wanted to go toe to toe with a 1st rounder to prove himself.

Soooooo, the pick of Harry totally paid off.

Only saw the first 2 1/2 quarters

Going with Harris, the OL, Meyers, and Wilkerson, and the secondary

I thought the OL set the tone for the offense. And kudos to the whole team for playing relatively mistake free. I really want to see the Pats show up against a good team for 60 minutes.

A mini-game ball to Urban Meyer, for setting up that mess and especially for wasting a bunch of pre-season prep time and snaps exploring the Tebow to TE farce…..thanks for that, Urban!

Run blocking aside, is there any reason Wilkerson shouldn't be taking Harry's spot going forward?

Everyone but Special Teams. They are going to cost us games if they can't handle executing an extra point. I know we scored a shit-ton of touchdowns, but 2 in a game? THree crappy games in a row.

Everyone else did there job and Pats DBs caught all 3 Trevor targets. Kaydrian Phugger is a force

Hands were the reported issue w Wilkerson in camp/from Titans camp iirc. He probably should have caught a third TD and his very next target looked like one of him or Mac read it wrong, but I hope his full body of work today earned him another look.

DJ had it right in the very first response, but I'd add the secondary, too. Bryant's pick pretty much ended the game with 2/3 of it to go. Between that and the WRs, to see those two recently maligned units capitalize on their opportunities today.

Going from Harry to Wilkerson you just see what Harry lacks. He lacks speed, quickness, route running, etc. Wilkerson’s hands are probably what is holding him back from being a spot-starter/backup. That and I am not sure about him dealing with physicality on his route or at the catch point. It’s tough to know much vs the Jaguars though because they are just so bad. Miami will be a much better test.

Hard to single out individuals in a dominant win like this, so I will just say Mac for bouncing back and the lines.

I know he's not perfect, but I'm seeing a much-improved Ja'Whaun Bentley this year who seems to be a little quicker in a space, and is an absolute monster in run fills. He's not someone you necessarily build around in this NFL, but he appears to have slimmed down a bit and done a lot of work to improve his weaknesses, and I think he's at least an above-average starter at this point, even if he isn't going to do anything too flashy.

He wrecked the blocking scheme to allow Hightower through on the early sack, too. Took out his OL and the RB in the blitz pickup.

On the flip side, he has had thru-the-roof success with undrafted FA's at CB. First, Randall Guy, then Malcom "GO" Butler, and now JC Jackson. So how about a game ball for JCJ timing Lester Hayes and Everson Walls for the most INT's thru his first four seasons?

Also, a game ball to Harris for timing Curtis Martin for most TD's in a season.

Just FYI they got this wrong on the broadcast (though I believe corrected themselves after the fact). They are tied for 2nd, as Blount got 18 during the 2016 season. Completely on board with the game ball for JCJ by the way...I couldn't believe he's up there with Hayes and Walls.

BB's list of undrafted free agent DBs is incredible. This list includes some players who turned out to be pretty good, not great, but even them...being pretty good while being an UDFA is an awesome outcome. Here's a list:

Randall Gay - terrific for several years
Malcolm Butler - Super Bowl hero, pro-bowler
Justin Coleman - solid NFL career
Jonathan Jones - really good slot corner
JC Jackson - pro-bowl player
Myles Bryant - terrible vs. Buffalo, but he's been pretty good this year
Brandon King - special teams ace
Kyle Arrington - pretty solid corner for a while
Sterling Moore - huge play in an AFCCG vs. Baltimore; had a 7-year NFL career
Sergio Brown - 7-year NFL career, good special teams guy

I mean that's a pretty impressive list.

I knew that. I meant to type "tieing Curtis Martin for second-most TD's in a season." Total brain-fart on my part.
