This. No one has shit on McDaniels more than me, but he balanced that out tonight beautifully. Plus the Solder TD was genius.
On top of that, it was a totally different game plan from last week. He's been fantastic the past couple weeks.

The defense. The Pats leading tackler was Collins with 4. The Colts never had anything going apart from the TD drive, and this was heavily aided by penalties.

It was just an asskicking. I think the coaches get credit for dialing up great game plans on both sides of the ball.

Seriously: what a shit show by Indy.

The game management and clock management was amazing. Colts got back in it with their TD drive, capitalizing on the turnover, and the Patriots and Josh just kept the dhains moving methodically. They put up 10 points, took 11 minutes off the clock, and Luck didn't touch the ball except for a kneel down for an hour, ruining all momentum.

I said at halftime that the game wasn't really in doubt.  Aside from a ludicrous throw and catch between Luck and Hilton (Hilton's only catch of the game, by the way, after having 92 combined in the regular season and playoffs coming in), and a couple of stupid penalties (one of which was total bullshit) on that TD drive, which was only set up by Brady's only brain fart, Indy had done nothing to be in the game at that point.  It was just a matter of limiting the mistakes and executing the game plan, and once they did that, it was over.

Just a fucking clinic by the coaching staff in all three phases.

Brady, LGBT, the offensive line, the receivers outside of a couple of drops, the defensive line (most pressure you will ever see in a game in which a team gets no sacks), the secondary, the linebackers, the special teams...

Did I miss anyone?  I hope not, because there isn't a single guy today that didn't do their job.  Not one.  Nobody beats the Patriots if the play like they did today.  Nobody.  And I'm including the '85 Bears and everyone else in that conversation.

How about Arrington? Matched up on TY Hilton just bout every play and gave him nothing.
Arrington had a nice game; he had great coverage even on that one long catch by Hilton. McCourty had the over-the-top coverage and he made a few plays early, too, when it was still something of a game.

46 game balls to the dressed players (I'll even add another 7 for the inactives).  Plus game balls to the coaching staff and practice squad players.  Everyone "did their job" tonight.

Honorable mention to the Steelers for signing Blount this offseason.

In retrospect you were right. I thought the key to the game was getting up and staying up enough to keep Herron from chewing up yards and keepin the Colts one dimensional. I thought the first possession of the second half was important. Pats converted three third downs, the first feeling important Edelman of course).

Everyone clearly. With the exception of the five minutes from the interception through the Indy TD, this was a total ass kicking.

Any injuries? I've got 0 serious ones but I worry!

Coaching staff.

Can't believe they trolled everyone with the eligible/ineligible stuff. Plus then they threw it to the tackle eligible for the TD. Fucking awesome.

Ninkovich, even separate from the batted balls the guy was getting constant penetration. Game ball for him and...

The refs. For trying to keep it close with what pretty much no one will remember was a remarkably one-sided performance, especially as it comes to DPI calls. Good try, fellas!*

I think Develin deserves a lot of praise for his TD. He was turned around and surrounded by Colts players and fought extremely hard for that 1 yard. Players get stripped all the time in that situation, especially in the rain, and if he had it would have been 7 for Indy.
And his blocking. When the game was still in doubt he opened a few gigantic holes.

the OL was absolutely epic tonight, especially Vollmer and Wendell. Connolly got beat for that one sack but they fucking crushed it all night long on run blocking and pass protection. that was an OL clinic. Blount was nice, had some great YAC, but with the holes he was working with tonight, they could have plucked a fan from the stands and he would have rushed for 100. DeGugs gets my game ball.
