Great game between Norwich and Liverpool. Minamino early for Liverpool and Kelleher with a brilliant penalty save for Liverpool after a reckless Bradley challenge in the box. Norwich deserve to be tied.

Watching Everton away to QPR, 2-2 at 60’. Tough ground to play at. Toffees have all they can handle. Some dreadful errors.

The Tom Davies shirt I’m wearing wouldn’t endear me to my fellow Toffees right now. Anemic miss snd Toffees are out.

Fulham and Leeds with the bar laying on the floor, yet still unable to clear it. 3-3 on penalties after 5 rounds.

edit: Leeds wins it on a save of a terrible penalty in Round 8.

I saw some competition do it like that on screen (Euros?)

Let’s not detract from the fact that Everton are 1/6 on League Cup shootouts against lower ranked opposition

Or that they were putrid in this game

What's worse, that Everton are 1/6 in League Cup shootouts against lower ranked opposition, or that 6 different times they've been unable to beat lower ranked opposition in regulation?

DCL, Richy, Pickford, Coleman all out injured, and their replacements were all terrible.

Alex Iwobi got the ball on a defensive collapse about fifteen yards from goal. Two-on-none. The keeper was in the process of falling down. Iwobi could have dribbled forward a few feet and literally walked around the keeper into the net. He fired right at the keeper.

Doucoure and Allan have been beasting the middle of the park all season. Davies and Gomes started, they were limp, passive, ineffectual. This Championship side (granted a very good one IMO) went right through them.

Godfrey and Holgate started at CB, their supposed position, and were manhandled by Charlie Austin (!!!!) who scored both QPR goals on headers. Godfrey had a bad case of COVID and looks a shell of himself.

Up front we had the corpse of Salomon Rondon, who was so bad he didn't look like a professional footballer.

Everton's best XI are formidable on their day. The squad depth drops off a cliff very quickly.

What is the prognosis for the injured players being fit enough for Norwich this weekend?

Potentially rethinking my EPL survivor pick here...

Tottenham starting XI vs Wolves: Gollini, Tanganga, Romero, Sanchez, Davies, Skipp, Dele, Ndombele, Bryan, Lo Celso, Kane(c).

I like the lineup, as long as Kane comes off after an hour no matter what. I'm thinking this shapes up like a 4-2-3-1 in attack and in defense. One thing that's weird about this lineup is that it features a back 4 with 2 FBs who don't want to get forward, and a double pivot with 2 players who want to stay deep. Sooooo, not very attacking unless Tanguy stays significantly higher than Skipp, playing more like a 4-1-4-1, but that might leave a lot of space in front of the backline.

8th minute, Fredericks rolls up the wing, centers Lanzini for the finish.

1-0 West Ham B

Edit- but Fredericks is injured again, so Moyes has to bring in Coufal, no night off for him.

Noble gives away a bad foul in a dangerous spot... he just doesn't have the pace for this level anymore.

In the last minute....
Matic annoyed he didn't get a call came in well after the ball was out of play and kneed a player in the thigh(looked like he was going for the balls).... no card because the ref couldn't see it.
Bally ended a dangerous West Ham attack by grabbing his mouth and falling to the ground (Noble had brushed him in the chest with a finger).

Truly taking advantage of no VAR tonight by the true shitstains they are in Manchester.

Oh hey, now Matic comes in very late again and injures Lanzini without a card. In the PL he'd be off by now. He's such an easy player to hate.

Is there no VAR at all in the Carling Carabao Cup? I was wondering how VAR would work for this Arsenal match that isn't televised anywhere on earth.

Good lord. West Ham 2 straight breaks, two gimmies.... 1 off the post, one directly into the keeper.
This should be 2-0

Penalties at multiple games. Chelsea/Aston Villa and Wolves/Spurs.

Are Spurs wearing those things as a tribute to Prince or Grimace?
