I swear I saw this discussed somewhere at the time, not sure if it was here (I was only lurking back in '09). And people cringed hard then. What in the hell
The financier? But yeah, that is the type of statement that would make sense coming out of an appearance by "guest Jeffrey Epstein".
Well they did foreshadow both Epstein and the boy scout scandal with the Pedoph Isle movie pitch:The financier?
Bill talks about Hayden Panetierre and Natalie Portman as child actors. He says that they both turned out to be really attractive and asks if it makes you a pedophile because you're secretly attracted to the 8-year-old girls knowing that they turn out to be really attractive.I'm not checking this out, but can someone summarize and give context to what this is?
We should go back to the first decade of the 2000s here and pull posts that look awful now in retrospect. What fun it would be! Everyone involved would love it!!It was a bit. Somewhat awkward, perhaps. But he does hundreds of hours of content every year, I don't care that he didn't quite land the plan this one time in 2010 or whenever it was.
Comedy has definitely changed in the however many years since then. It's still pretty crazy that someone as popular as Bill, who wasn't saying this anonymously, felt comfortable saying that. I mean, even the Shane Gillis thing that got him fired from SNL, Gillis didn't have nearly the following Bill had.We should go back to the first decade of the 2000s here and pull posts that look awful now in retrospect. I suspect he felt comfortable saying it because no one was going to accuse him of being a pedophile. It was just a shitty joke. Whereas today I guarantee there'd be an online mob assembling to do just that.Comedy has definitely changed in the however many years since then. Regardless, it was an awkward attempt at a bit that didn't land. I don't think anyone thinks Bill is a pedophile (or at least I would hope not)
That's nothing compared to his "Grading the Wimbledon babes" columns where he would say that they're really men or are cute enough to "take advantage of" (ie: rape) for a one-nighter, or early NBA Draft diaries where he said that minority players with spotty English didn't know who their fathers were.EDIT - Audio is from 2009, people on Elon's crappy website were talking about it like it just happened. My apologies.
