Nets are a different team from what we saw early in the season, but still capable of losing a bunch of games as the old legs get tired and guys get banged up. Last night was the beginning of a west coast swing and their next four games are a pair of back-to-backs. NY and Cleveland will push hard even if they mostly suck.
I think it's a longshot that both ATL and BKN miss the playoffs, but if they do they would likely drop below 3 or 4 teams out west in the overall standings. Either way, it would be awesome getting at least a mid-round pick this year. Out of all the picks the Nets owe, it was reasonable to think that this year's would have been the worst. We're in good shape as long as they keep running their team like the Knicks.
