I'd think Seattle is at the top of the list, but the Colts, Cowboys and Eagles all make some sense too.

Somewhere
The most disturbing part of this is something that you simply made up out of thin air? Way to be outraged. Hot take right there.
Dude, I live in Pittsburgh. You don’t have to reach far to hear “racially charged” commentary vis a vis AB. And I don’t even follow football regularly.

I almost want the Pats to sign him just to see heads explode on TGG forum.

Indy makes some sense, cap wise. Philly? Saints? Both strong enough coaching situations to withstand the inevitable
Rosenhaus was touting Philly to AB in that audio clip from before the trade to Oakland. Hilton must be begging the Colts to add Brown right now.

"Text from NFL coach..."

Does "coach" automatically = head coach?

After watching da Bears on Thurs they should take a run at him. That receiver group isn't winning squat as constituted.

How about the Bengals? Have a gaping need for a WR, a history of bringing players with dubious resumes, and a desperate need for attention/relevance?

Now that Antonio Brown has been released by the Raiders, which team will he play his first game with in 2019? Patriots: 2/1 49ers: 5/1 Packers: 6/1 Cardinals: 7/1 Seahawks: 9/1 Ravens: 12/1 Giants: 16/1 Dolphins: 18/1 Steelers 25/1

Can I take 1/25 for not the Steelers? I will take a 2nd mortgage out for that.

Steelers 25/1 ???

I would think the odds of the Steelers bringing back AB would be on the order of drawing a Royal Fizzbin.

I think it means the opposite.
So, a random asst. QB coach then?

It won't happen, but I would laugh so hard if he went back to the Steelers.
I'd love to see the immediate 180-degree turn of every Steelers fan who has been calling him every name in the book all offseason. Brown and Ben could kiss and make up, they deserve each other.

Are the Raiders trying to win right now? Places have them projected for like 6 or 7 wins, and those totals included AB.

I legitimately don't know the cap implications but it feels like it would be smarter (if legal) to not void the guarantee, pay some portion of it, and trade him for a mid round pick than to simply cut him. That is, effectively buy a pick. Is that a thing they can do? Or is the money just too much here?

On the Pats making a play for Brown.....

Pros: (1) Elite elite elite WR with incredible talent. Would make their top 3 receivers Brown, Gordon, and Edelman. Absolutely sick. (2) Would almost certainly come very cheap and hence, very cuttable. (3) If any team in the NFL has the ownership, coaching staff, and locker room to handle someone like Brown, it's NE.

Cons: (1) He really does appear to be psycho and a major problem. It would be awful for him to come here and disrupt things. (2) Signing him would necessarily mean cutting someone else, and that someone else is a good football player that would then go to another team.

All told, to me, the pros outweigh the cons.

I could never imagine AB having a colossal temper tantrum because Jules or Josh was getting more targets. Or because the Boston media sucks. Or because TB12 could no longer throw a proper deep ball. That would never happen. Because Antonio is simply misunderstood, not a Celene Dion-level Diva.

He can take his frost-bitten feet somewhere else.

Question for those who are well versed in this, just where to the Patriots stand in regard to cap space? Maybe Brown comes here for a year, plays nice, has a great season, gets his ring and positions himself for for another big contract. There is no denying that the team could use another pass catching threat, the guy who many consider the best is suddenly available and Bill has proven that he's not adverse to bringing in players who have had issues elsewhere.

Miguel Benzan has them currently with $6,377,392 in cap space. Not a ton there to start with given inevitable injuries/replacements and whatnot along the way, and even less if they want to hold back some $ for a Gronk return.

If it’s about money the Pats are out. Only goes to Pats on short deal to repair reputation

And/or win a ring. If I recall, during the offseason, when Brown trade rumors began circulating, he seemed giddy at the prospect of potentially playing with the Patriots.

Do we think NFL players wanna play with this guy?
Certainly not all, but T.Y. Hilton would be thrilled to get release from double-team jail. Colts have the most 2019 salary cap space in the NFL, even after the new QB deals.

I think some people are forgetting how toxic Moss was before BB traded for him.
It’s been a dozen years, but Moss’ toxicity related to lack of effort and professionalism. He appeared disinterested, and more than a few concluded he was done.

Dillon appeared to care too much, was worn down by all those years with the Bengals and behaved erratically.

Neither was as disruptive as Brown was with the Raiders. Neither had the social media presence Brown does. Neither was regarded as at the top of his game and one of the best players at his position.

This is an entirely different level of headache. Would he even agree to put his phone away, which would likely be one of the Pats’ conditions?

Houston makes the most sense to me. Cap room and a GFIN approach with BOB trying to make up for the Clowney deal. I bet he ends up there, and that offense would be nuts.

Phones. Plural. There’s commentary about him sitting in meetings with multiple phones checking bank account and doing social media. In meetings. The limo that drops AB off at the Pats might as well keep the motor running and wait.

They already have Hopkins, Fuller, and Stills. Seems like a strange fit.

On the other hand, that gives them the freedom to drop AB without hesitation if he acts up. The Texans have over $28 million in cap space.
