The Ace takes the mound to face some visitors from the North. These visitors may be young, some may be rowdy, others proud of their blood lines, but their rowdiness and pride have to face Chris Sale. Poor guys!

Sale is a poster image this year of the ridiculousness of the W-L stat. Go Ace go.

3-7, but 130/90 K/IP, .974 WHIP

Maybe because he got off to a bad start his teammates lost faith in him and saved their good hitting for guys who were pitching better at the time.
Shit happens.
EdRod finished April 2-2 with a 6.16 ERA. Got the runs while pitching like crap.

This game has a whiff of "sox bats go silent against unfamiliar rookie putting it together." He shut out Houston in his last start, albeit what's left of Houston these days.

Feels like the crisis has passed. From the beginning of May on, Sale has K’d 10, 14, 17, 10, 5, 10, 12, 10, 10. ERA has dropped from 6.30 to 3.49. Let's keep winning.

If you remove his starts of 10 or more strike outs, he is averaging 5K/9.

That’s terrible.
