Pop was screaming at his team during that final possession. Either he was screaming at them to foul and they refused, or he was telling them to NOT foul. It’s odd and inexplicable either way.

That's up there with the dumbest, lowest iq endings to a game I've seen. How the players dont know they need to foul is beyond me. Plus, pop is on the court screaming at them to foul.

I mean, instincts have to kick in. There is no way Pop was telling them to not foul.

And that is why Murray is a great young player. That was the biggest shot of the kid's career and he drained it like a seasoned veteran.
They weren't exactly setting the world on fire with the Murray/Joker pick/roll in crunch time, with the one big Murray floater the only bucket in the last six possessions. They were up 88-80 with 2:44 left after a Craig layup, and if not for the ineptitude of DeRozan and LMA, they would have choked this game away.

If LMA needs a coach to tell him to foul when his team is down 4 points with 28 seconds left, he's a freaking moron.

Pop in classic form in the postgame presser:

Reporter: “you were calling for a foul om that last play, and they didn’t didnt foul. What happened?”

Pop: “They obviously didnt hear me.”

Again, I am not arguing that Murray should be an all NBA candidate. He is a good young scorer but is wildly inconsistent. I will be shocked if Portland doesn't roast them this next round.

What's more agonizing to watch, the last minute of that Spurs loss, or the first minute of Pop's presser?

He's a nice young player who gets a lot of opportunity, and has done ok with it. IDK how far the Nugs can go with him as a second star in the West. To me, he looks like a third or fourth piece on a true contender.

Thanks. They took a huge and unexpected step this year. Given that they're the second youngest team in the league, the future's bright, and we're playing with house money at this point.
That was a huge win, especially with the game tightening up at the end and versus a veteran team with the best coach in professional sports.

Also, people can hate on DeRozan but he played hard and improved as the game went along. Hot takes aside, its the NBA and players struggle in games large and small.

I am not a massive Murray fan by any stretch but I simply cannot determine what sort of piece a 21 year old player in his third season is going to be. What I do know is that he took a small step back in his shooting percentages this year but had career highs in rebounds, assists and defensive statistics. I think he can absolutely be the second best player on a team but he also may turn out to be what you describe. The trend suggests he is going to be better than a fourth piece though.

Pretty hard not to improve given his start. Just always leaves you wanting more. Overall, his series was pretty good but he always seems to pick the wrong times to struggle.

Remember back in January when some people were saying Siakam was nearing his ceiling due to his age? Yikes!

In a 2016 re-draft, Siakam has to be #2 behind Simmons, with a chance to eclipse Ben in a few seasons.

With all this Jamal Murray discussion I wonder where he and Jaylen Brown would sit?

I’m leaning towards Houston. This feels like the 03-04 Red Sox finally breaking through against the Yankees. They’ve been knocking on the door for years.

Here's hoping the Warriors win Games 1-3 to test out your theory. :)

I feel like it's gonna be a dogfight, especially with Steph and Klay gimpy (and Klay maybe out for Game 1?) Indeed, after a fairly snoozeworthy opening round, I think all four conference semi-finals this year have potential to be classics.

Other way around - Siakam is #1, and Simmons has an outside shot to improve his game enough to catch up.

This is what it looks like when harden doesn’t get foul calls I guess

that's bold, but I think you may be correct...

a year ago, some didn't even have Siakam getting re-drafted in the lottery

End of November this season, Siakam had just barely jumped into the top10 on this guy's re-draft

Don’t know what Doris was talking about.. harden looks off. Wonder if his wrist hurts more than he’s letting on
